I just picked up an awesome green lacy Lilly dress at TjMaxx for 10.00!!! Way marked down.

P.S. I usually just stick to styles that look good on me, such as the Betsey dress. Extensive alterations get very expensive. It really helps my bank account though when I try on a dress that just doesn't fit me well (although there are plenty that do!).BAHhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04864599232804151361noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-728010007756300312.post-79503308732369704032009-04-14T18:32:00.000-05:002009-04-14T18:32:00.000-05:00I think the Sailor's got the right idea with tailo...I think the Sailor's got the right idea with tailoring. It looks gorgeous on everyone, so my vote is definitely for that one. Lilly dresses are usually pretty easy to alter, esp the shift dresses! I have a couple and love them, but if I had ordered true to size they would have never fit around the bottom!!

Good luck! The Monogrammed Sailorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17155837657342095796noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-728010007756300312.post-55805512512259649362009-04-14T12:59:00.000-05:002009-04-14T12:59:00.000-05:00I have the same problem girl!!! I actually am about to spend a fortune at my seamstress to get about 5 or 6 various items taken in in the top so that the bottom will fit. I only have 2 Lilly shifts and they both are tight in the bottom and my BFF assured me they look fine. However, the next shift I get I am planning on going one size up and getting it altered! I don't know if you have any of the capris, but they run tight in the bottom too. I have to go one size up on all shorts, capris, and pants, but skirts are fine! Who knew!Jenniferhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00123779237747469831noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-728010007756300312.post-48941373721536129622009-04-14T11:55:00.000-05:002009-04-14T11:55:00.000-05:00Oooo, that green dress is really cute!
