You Deserve The Best Giveaway
When people asked me what I was thankful for on Thanksgiving, the first thing that came to mind was this website. Fantabulously Frugal started out as a hobby - a way for me to fill my time once I completed grad school. What it has turned into, however, is so much more than a hobby! I am thankful for the opportunities I've had to get to know all of you readers, Etsy shop owners, and companies. Everyday I am so thankful that one of you decided to subscribe to this site, let alone the (almost) multiple thousands of you that keep reading as well. You are all awesome and everyday you make my day. Seriously.
To share my extreme gratitude with all of you, I decided to call up a few of my favorite Fantabulously Frugal supporters (OutfitAdditions.com, BeautyTicket.com, and Go-Girl), as well as cash in a bunch of sample sale credits I've been saving up from RowNine, RueLaLa, Ideeli, and Gilt to create the best giveaway I could come up with because, and I cannot stress this enough, You Deserve the Best.

I survived!!!!!!!
So, loves, I survived this Black Friday madness. It was my first time out believe it or not. Usually, my parents will always call me about things or pick things up for me. This year, I had the day off work and decided to go for it. Oh my, what an experience it was! The first stop, Toys R Us, at midnight. Yeah, after about 11 squad cars show up to control the massive crowd, we think a Waffle House trip sounds much better. On the way to eat, I passed Best Buy. This was a little after midnight, and the line was already forming for the store. And get this, there were tents set up. Seriously, camping tents. My parents say that people start setting up tents on Wednesday night in order to be in line for Friday. Ummmmm, yeah, I think my sanity is worth more that that. kthankssomuch. We returned to Toys R Us an hour later, and the line had almost diminished altogether. Or, so, we thought. We got into the store, and it was sheer madness. A line wrapped around the whole entire store. And the checkout time was 3 freaking hours. Yeah, I'm not really into waiting for a few toys THAT much. So, off to Wally World we headed. I didn't realize that Black Friday shopping was serious stuff. They had all the advertised items wrapped up in bins and security watching each bin. The bins weren't allowed to be opened until 5am. Some were open before 5, but they were the less desirable to shoppers is why. I saw people keeping their hands touching a Rock Band box just like I've seen those ladies on those shows who try to keep their hand on the wedding dress the longest to win. It was cah-razy. I saw people literally bum rush each other over some furr-kin thing. Yeah, there a lady screaming for more security as 5am hit over some fake furry dog that moves and a cabbage patch. And people were pushy, and sometimes down right rude. All in all it was worth it! I got some great toys and pjs for my angel tree kids, ornaments that were a steal, another set of Corelle dishes that I needed desperately, among other things.
Hope you ladies survived this day! Whew, what a day it was!!!!! I, also, hope you all had a wonderful, safe Thanksgiving. I am thankful for everything God has given me. Ciao!

Christmas Decorations...sort of.
So, I don't really have much to talk about. I'm on a clothing shopping hiatus. I haven't purchased an article of clothing in a bit. And for those of you who follow me on Twitter, no, I did not purchase the $7 clearance blouse from Target. I felt guilty for even doing that. I am trying to be a good little girl since Christmas is coming up, and I have other people's presents to buy for instead of presents for myself. I want to use my credit card as least as possible this season unlike last year.
However, I did feel it was okay to use my credit card today; because, after all, it was for God and stuff.
I waited til the last minute, and I did not get an Advent wreath last year. Of course, I waited til almost the last minute this year. That's so Belle. I wouldn't be me if I had actually bought this last week. For all my non-Catholics out there this is what an advent wreath is for:
"The Advent wreath is a Christian tradition that symbolizes the passage of the four weeks of Advent (Advent [from the Latin word adventus, meaning "coming"] is a season of the Christian church, the period of expectant waiting and preparation for the celebration of the Nativity of Jesus; in other words, the period immediately before Christmas.) in the liturgical calendar of the Western church. It is usually a horizontal evergreen wreath with four or five candles. Beginning with the First Sunday of Advent, the lighting of a candle can be accompanied by a Bible reading and prayers. An additional candle is lit during each subsequent week until, by the last Sunday before Christmas, all four candles are lit. Some Advent wreaths include a fifth, "Christ" candle which can be lit at Christmas. The custom is observed both in family settings and at public church services."-credit Wikipedia
This works out great; because I am getting a big wreath to hang on our front door from Costco which is similar to this Advent wreath.
Advent candles for my advent wreath
This was on clearance for $2.98. I couldn't let it not be ordered. It would make for a great hostess gift next year, or a nice bag to transport vino in somewhere next Fall. Sorry for the blurry picture. It says "Celebrate the Season".
And I got this poinsettia topiary. It was only 4$.
Now, I know you're wondering how I justified the last two items. Hey, this money I'm spending is being spent at catholicsupply.com. So, it goes towards God in the form of supporting a Catholic business. Yup, that's right. Keepin' it all in the family!
I'm gearing up for Black Friday. I'm scared. Do any of y'all do it? Normally, my parentals go and pick up things they know I'll like and/or call me once I'm up for things they see after my day has officially started. However, I'm off work this year, and I'm going to venture out. I keep hearing all kinds of effed up madness about shopping on Friday. Is it that bad? Any tips? Should I just stay home? I like shopping though. Are the deals that great, or is it just the experience?

My New Holiday Pretty!
So, I have been very good about shopping lately. I haven't purchased much except for the few antique plates I am collecting to do for my plate wall in the new house. But today, I received my daily the first of many actually for the day email from SmartBargains.com. Their website has everything from housewares to fine jewelry. Often, they have designer lines like Kenneth Jay Lane to Vineyard Vines. Today, they sent me an email for 25%. Normally, I browse around for a bit, but then, I tell myself "no, you don't need anything." Today, I didn't want this item, but I did NEED this item. As I was packing up my things a few weeks ago to make the big move into the new house, I noticed some of my holiday jewelry from last year. I hate it when costume jewelry tarnishes, or the metal coating starts to peel. But, I absolutely fell in love with these! They are sterling silver and cultured pearl. Granted, I'm sure the pearls are of the best grade but nonetheless, I love them!!!! Not to mention, the whole transaction, shipping included, cost me $36.00.
Also, they have a plan where you can join in on their shipping club. You pay one single payment of $9.95 for the year, and you get $2.95 shipping for two items every time you order. I, also, think you get additional shipping discount on other items after the two items in your order. Plus, today, they had 25% off, and I got the earrings 25% off, and they knocked off 25% of the shipping club price as well. And, when you add the shipping club to your basket, they let you get the two items in your basket for $2.95 as well. You don't have to wait until your next purchase. The 25% ends tonight. Go get your own very pair of snowflake earrings. So tres pretty and so worth it!!! I love this site. And, I have to thank Prep in the Big Apple for introducing me to it! Thanks girl!!!!!

What goes with Spice?
Suga!!!!!!!! And yes, I meant to put "suga". We don't pronounce that word with an R where I'm from. But let me grammatically fix it for you in this sentence, sugar and spice make everything nice!!!

Half of my Heart
Ok, so, there's one thing you might not know about me. I'm a HUGE John Mayer fan. I just love his music. Do I love his playboy ways? Eh, notsomuch. But, is he easy on the eyes? Yes, he is. His new album came out yesterday, and yes, I had to go buy it. I do think it's a great cd. A lot of the songs aren't as catchy as say the album, Room For Squares, or as poppy as Continuum, but nonetheless, it's mellow and a good buy. This is my fave song from the album is one that features Taylor Swift I do adore her. Sorry for all of you who do not!!
Half of my Heart
I was born in the arms of imaginary friends
Free to roam, made a home out of everywhere I've been
Then you come crashing in, like the realest thing
Trying my best to understand all that your love can bring
Oh half of my heart's got a grip on the situation
Half of my heart takes time
Half of my heart's got a right mind to tell you
That I can't keep loving you
Oh, with half of my heart
I was made to believe I'd never love somebody else
I made a plan, stay the man who can only love himself
Lonely was the song I sang, 'til the day you came
Showing me a better way and all that my love can bring
Oh half of my heart's got a grip on the situation
Half of my heart takes time
Half of my heart's got a right mind to tell you
That I can't keep loving you
Oh, with half of my heart
With half of my heart
Your faith is strong
But I can only fall short for so long
Time will hold, later on
You will hate that I never gave more to you than half of my heart
But I can't stop loving you
But I can't stop loving you
But I can't stop loving you with half of my...
Half of my heart
Half of my heart
Half of my heart's got a real good imagination
Half of my heart's got you
Half of my heart's got a right mind to tell you
That half of my heart won't do
Half of my heart is a shotgun wedding to a bride with a paper ring
And half of my heart is the part of a man who's never really loved anything

say YES to the dress Belle style
Ha, fooled you. I betcha thought I was engaged. Um, no, I'm not. Still waiting. Sheesh, seems like it's taking forever. Since I can't buy a wedding dress quite yet, I can say SCREAM "Yes" to every dress that suits my fancy. And I know, I know, it's totally winter. Tis' the season to wear jewel tones, blacks, greys, browns, and winter whites. But, when I received an email from Lilly Pulitzer about a new Maxi dress, I had to open it. I had to peek. Summer is my fave season of all. Um, yes, I'm in love and will most DEF say yes to this dress at some point. I love it. I love fabrics that have coral prints on them. Thoughts???

Ok, so the beautiful dining room table we ordered, yeah, it's discontinued. Therefore, it was back to shopping. I really really really really really really yes, I could type "really" forever loved that table. Since we could not have that table, I wanted something similar. This is what LC's mom suggested. I just love her. She has an amazing since of style, and it is something I totally would have picked out myself.

Thoughts on Sheen Striping and Wainscoting
So, I have thought about doing sheen striping in our dining room. I thought it might give it a little flair without being over the top. I have a conservative, traditional style, and LC is uber-conservative. When I mentioned stripes last night, he lost all color in his face and reminded me that he's "super conservative." This is nothing crazy. Our walls are a neutral beige color despite the picture of it at the end of this post. It's not yellow, I promise. I like neutrals and love the color that is already on the walls. So, I have two questions for you ladies, first, what are your thoughts on sheen striping. It's just using the same color paint but with different textures i.e. matte/flat and semi gloss/gloss. It looks like wallpaper sans the paper. I am thinking I would do it a lighter color like maybe an ivory or cream type color just to make the room appear brighter and bigger.
And the second question is your thoughts on wainscotting. I love it. I love love love love love it. Our floorplan is open as in our dining room is off to the side. It's defined by the column. It's not an enclosed room per se when thinking of a traditional dining room. So, my question is would you put wainscotting in there? LC says it might not look right, but even though it is open and doesn't have a doorway per se, I think you can just put it around the walls and stop where they naturally stopped. What do you think? I think it's enclosed enough to do so.
You can see there is still a small wall behind the column where the wainscoting can wrap around. So, it's bigger than an L shape. It's almost a u-shape. Sorry, for the poor pic quality. It's off my iphone. We still don't have the net. Yes, I'm still alive and dying a slow death without my tv and pc. What do you think? Would wainscoting look dumb? In case some of you don't know what wainscoting is, I put a pic below. Most people have seen it even they don't know the technical name for it.

Dying here!
Not literally, but still I digress....I have been sans technology for an official week now. No joke. Just Iphones. LC even joked about not getting tv or internet; because, we have our phones. Yeah, that's not happening. We have an appointment with the cable company on Wednesday no, not the EVIL cable company thank goodness! That will make a week and a half. I feel like I'm in the Stone Age. I missed my Monday night which is my F.A.V.E. night out of the week to watch tv. These are the shows I love:
Emmy Award nominated TWO AND A HALF MEN* has been the Number One-rated sitcom on television for the past four seasons. It's a comedy about men, women, sex, dating, divorce, mothers, single parenthood, sibling relations, surrogate families, money and, most importantly, love. More specifically, it's about the lives of two brothers, one brother's son, and the many women who surround them. Charlie Harper is a well-to-do bachelor with a house at the beach, a Mercedes in the garage and an easy way with women. His casual Malibu lifestyle was interrupted when his tightly wound brother, Alan, and Alan's son, Jake, came to stay with him. Complicating matters further are Charlie and Alan's narcissistic, emotionally toxic mother, Evelyn; Alan's deeply neurotic ex-wife, Judith and Charlie's domineering, unapologetically blue-collar housekeeper, Berta. Despite the complexities of their lives and their own strained relationship, Charlie and Alan have one thing in common - they both love Jake and want what's best for him. As a result, they manage to create a little family unit that promises to make each of them a better man.
The Big Bang Theory*
Leonard and Sheldon are brilliant physicists, the kind of "beautiful minds" that understand how the universe works. But none of that genius helps them interact with people, especially women. All this begins to change when a free-spirited beauty named Penny moves in next door. Sheldon, Leonard's roommate, is quite content spending his nights playing Klingon Boggle with their socially dysfunctional friends, fellow CalTech scientists Wolowitz and Koothrappali. However, Leonard sees in Penny a whole new universe of possibilities... including love
HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER* is a comedy about Ted and how he fell in love. It all started when Ted's best friend, Marshall, dropped the bombshell that he was going to propose to his longtime girlfriend, Lily, a kindergarten teacher. At that moment, Ted realized that he had better get a move on if he, too, hopes to find true love. Helping him in his quest is his friend Barney, a confirmed bachelor with endless, sometimes outrageous opinions, a penchant for suits and a foolproof way to meet women. When Ted meets Robin, he's sure it's love at first sight, but destiny has something else in store. The series is narrated through flashbacks from the future.
ACCIDENTALLY ON PURPOSE*, based on the bestselling memoir by Mary F. Pols, is a comedy about a single woman, Billie, who finds herself "accidentally" pregnant after a one-night stand with a much younger guy, and decides to keep the baby...and the guy. A newspaper film critic, Billie is barely surviving a humiliating breakup with her charming boss, James, who's still trying to resume their relationship. Pregnant, after a brief fling with her "boy toy" Zack, Billie and Zack make an arrangement to live together platonically. Billie's party girl best friend Olivia, and Abby, her conventional, younger married sister, eagerly look forward to the new addition and offer their own brands of advice and encouragement. But when Zack and his freeloading friends, including Davis, start to turn her place into a frat house, Billie isn't sure if she's living with a boyfriend, a roommate, or if she just has another child to raise.
The shows are all pretty funny! Hopefully, if you haven't checked them out, you will. I laugh til my stomach hurts every Monday=)

Our new furniture
Well, almost furniture. LC's parents are ordering us our new bedroom furniture. I hope it comes soon. I hate seeing boxes. I want it to be organized and organized NOW. I am so thankful and grateful for this gift. It will look great in our master bedroom. We are putting my bedroom suit into one of the guest rooms.
This is the collection we have chosen for the bedroom:
I'm pretty traditional. I liked the look of this collection. Granted it is brand new furniture, but, to me, it has the look and lines of antique furniture. I'm not big on ornate stuff with a lot of carvings or anything contemporary for that matter either. It's just not my style. But, I do love going in other people's homes who do relish those styles. It's almost like borrowing something for a bit but not having to commit to it. Ha!
We also chose the Tortola dining room collection as well:
So, what do you think???

Is it Xmas already...
Geez, I don't know about y'all, but it seems this year has just flown by. And, it seems that Christmas ads and campaigns come earlier and earlier each year. I remember this will DEF show my age when Christmas season didn't truly start until the day after Thanksgiving. That was the day you could officially put your tree up! Nowadays, you can put your tree up whenever. Heck, when I was in college, my neighbor didn't take his lights down at all. He kept them up year round. He said that it was festive and saved him time from taking them down and having to put them back up. I call this L.A.Z.Y.
I came across this, and it just put me right in the Christmas spirit. I'm not a huge VB fan, but I like some of it. But these, LOVE LOVE LOVE!

LooK at my pretty that arrived today...
Awhile back, I won the giveway hosted by Her Southern Charm. It was a $100 gift certificate to Cambria Cove. Earlier this summer, I saw a bracelet in one of the fashion mags I was reading, and I so wanted to get it or something similar. It was thin silver bracelet with a charm attached, and the charm was a metal copy of a wax seal with an initial on it. So pretty! As I was browsing Cambria Cove, I came upon these, and this is what my winnings went towards:

The only thing I didn't like is that the only rolo chain offered was 16". I didn't realize how short that is until I received it today, but nonetheless, it's very very pretty! I found the brand on other websites and will def order a longer chain so, I can get more use of the charm.
Thank you Her Southern Charm!!!!!!!!!!!!

And, I cannot find anything. Poor LC was late to work because he couldn't find the box that had his work shoes and belts. I had to drag a pair of pants out that I have not seen since college; because, I have two HUGE black garbage bags filled with nothing but my laundry. So, I'm in my car headed back to work from dropping off cable boxes at the EVIL C*omcast on my lunch breakyes heinous C*omcast took up another one of my lunch breaks. you have no idea how much of my time has been wasted at their office and look down to see a bright splash of pink. I'm like hmmmm what is that. Oh, it's totally a splotch of my bright pink underwear. Yeah, my pants are split down the seam. And no, it's not because my pants are too tight. These are actually big on me. Ah, at least it's in the spot where no one will see unless they are a perv. Because, hey, my co-workers shouldn't be staring down there anyways. And well, I guess I'll squeeze my legs a little tighter when I walk to ensure that none of my no-no spot shows. Geez, I am ready for a glass of wine......
