I've got a case of the Mondays...bleh.

It's Monday. It's 70 degrees, and I don't wanna be behind this desk. I want to take Queen Puggy on a long walk and enjoy the weather. These are the days I miss being a teacher. Getting off earlier than the 8-5ers. Enough of my complaining!

Friday-ARTini was a blast. The coolest thing was this one piece in the gallery. It was a big square filled with different colored spools of thread. When you looked at it, the spools didn't really come together and form a picture. I thought it was an abstract piece. But, there was this rod iron stand in front of it, much resembling a microphone stand. However, at the top of the stand was a glass ball attached to it. If you looked through the ball at the piece or even caught the reflection off the ball, the piece was the Mona Lisa. Crazy. I mean who sits around and thinks, "Hey, I'm gonna use a bunch of spools together that look like nothing when combined together, but add a crystal ball on a stand in the mix to look through so you can see the spools actually form the Mona Freakin Lisa." crazy stuff, ladies. sheer brilliant genius!.

I ended up buying the Lilly Andover Dress for Easter. I think it's absolutely darling. However, on me, the front dips a little too low for church; so, I'm going to have to pair a white cami underneath. I wouldn't want the priest getting a look at my goodies. Ha!On another note, ladies I hope you didn't underestimate my Tigers when filling out your brackets this year. Greivis Vasquez (Maryland's point guard) talked trash about my Tigers and our conference stating, "If [Memphis] played in the ACC Conference, they'd have a losing record in the league. They'd probably win all of their games outside the league and have a losing record in the league. The ACC is too tough. Memphis needs some competition. It's going to be a fight. I don't care who guards me. I'm going to go at him and at the whole team. I'm such a competitor. I don't care who's in front of me. I'm going to compete." Well Mr. Vasquez decided to talk trash, and we trashed Maryland all the way to bank with a whopping 19 point blow out. Hard lesson in humility Mr. Vasquez had to learn. It's hard enough as it is much less having to learn it publicly. That's okay. We just keeping converting them. Here is the excerpt from my local paper about what Vasquez after the game, "It was dazzling, honestly. Ask someone who was there.'They definitely proved me wrong,' Vasquez said. Yes, Vasquez. The most recent convert. He sat in the Maryland locker room, exhausted and abashed.Vasquez said he never figured the Tigers could shoot like that. He said something else, too. 'I hope they prove everyone else wrong,' he said. 'I hope they win the tournament.'"

If they play like they did Saturday, they might. Watch out Tar Heels!GO TIGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love my Tigers! Everyone in my house has them going all the way on their brackets.
I think one of my favorite quotes about the last game was how Memphis & Maryland was a fair game.. it was a fair game until tip off. When we come to play, there's no stopping us.
