A little luck goes a long way...

*BTW, this is not our home

The owner accepted LC's offer and the first one at that! We officially, as of right now, have a house! Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!! I am so glad that finally I can spend the rest of the Summer by the pool instead of house hunting. Summer is my favorite season, and I've already missed out on half of it. One good news is my very best friend in the whole wide world is going to be living less than 10 minutes away. I am so excited to be able to hang out with her more often=)

But the bad news is with all the craziness yesterday of going to the bathroom like crazy to being extremely busy at work to getting my hair done to finding out about the house, I forgot the most important thing of all...my father's birthday:( Now, his feelings are hurt. *sigh* He never likes to celebrate and most years my Mum always reminds me, but she didn't this year. Now, I feel like a complete a$$clown. I sent him a card today which is the same card I bought ahead of time to put in my desk drawer that I open every day to ensure I wouldn't forget. And I did, but I digress..........
Have you ever forgotten a parent's birthday? If so, how did you deal? Were they actually upset??

I haven't forgotten a Birthday, but last year I was spending Father's Day with my boyfriend and HIS Dad. I completely spaced on calling me Dad! He was very hurt and I felt like the world's worst daughter. This year I tried to make up for it by going overboard. I sent a card, flowers, and edible bouquet, and a DVD of classic football moments. He said if I had gotten him the tiara to he would have felt like Miss America! Anyway, I hope your Dad is a good sport too! I think Dad's can be very forgiving with a little tlc. :)PS, Congrats on the House and Love your blog!

I cannot wait to see pictures of the house - congratulations :-)

I've forgotten birthdays. I've learned that the best thing for me is to put them on my Google calendar as recurring events, then set reminders for 1 week in advance. It's not a perfect system, but it works most of the time!

Congratulations Miss Belle, that is such fabulous news! As far as the birthday issue, yes, we forgot once and we felt miserable for days, despite my father being very sweet about it. It happens, that's all we can say.

Have a wonderful Sunday!

I have forgotten a b-day. I sent him tickets to a football game to make up for my boo-boo.

Congrats on your new house but yikes...sorry about the birthday episode. But he's your dad and will, most likely, forgive. Make up brownies usually do the trick! :-)
SO.....I left you a little blog award so - your turn!!
