The Big One Year=)

Today, LC and I celebrate our one year anniversary. Today, I will tell you the story of how we came about dating.....

LC was the older brother of one of the guys who is really good friends with a friend of mine. We would all hang out and watch Memphis Tiger basketball games, go out and have fun psssh, get really intoxicated is more like it and occasionally, the older brother would come out. It was rare due to him finishing up his last semester of law school. On these rare occasions, he would always tease me about being old, and I would definitely give him crap right back. I'm a feisty one! He is 2 years older than me and was already considered in his "thirties". I am still in my "twenties"so, what if I only have 6 mos. and 3 weeks. And YES, I am counting. One night, our group went out for a night on the town, and his brother ended up wanting to go home at some point. I offered LC a ride if he wanted to stay since I live downtown and he did too. He took me up on my offer. As I dropped him off, he asked me to come in and enticed me by offering to cook up some delicious frozen taquitos. With that cute face and a time of about 5am, how could I resist some scrumptious frozen taquitos. And yes, they were gooooood. About a week later, I had just left RCIA class (the class you take to become Catholic-in case you didn't know), and ran into LC at the gas station. And of course, he made fun of me for that. You know it's like 3rd grade romance if you haven't caught on. Me boy. Me like girl. I'll let her know I like her by making fun of her and punching her in the arm. You know that kind of banter. The next night I start receiving these text messages asking me things. Finally, he told me it was him and asked me if I would be his date for a wedding the next night. I, of course, agreed. And you know I must have been in a state of euphoria INTOXICATION and agreed knowing that he was in the actual wedding itself. So, our first date was to his childhood best friend's wedding. At least his brother was there whom I am friends with and his parents. Yes, that's right if the first date isn't awkward enough in and of itself...our first date was to a wedding that he was a groomsmen and I got to meet the parents all in one night. Needless to say, a lot of vino was drunk. And one year later, we are still happily together. I want to spend the rest of my life with him. With that being said, I can't wait to see what the next year holds for us=) hopefully, a ring is what is in store. Ha!

What a cute story! I love how he was so silly about teasing you :-) And that's crazy that your first date was to a wedding that he was in! Sounds like it was definitely meant to be, though! Happy Anniversary!
