I just got Punked!!!!

by oceanpalm.net! I have been wanting this Lilly Pulitzer Amarah top in true navy for awhile now. I've found it on a few sites and all have it priced $44.00+10 bucks shipping. So, I find it on oceanpalm.net and put it in my basket. I go to check out to see what they're shipping charges were. I select what kind of shipping I'd like and hit update. It doesn't change anything. It just states: *Shipping and handling charges included. SWEET! I go ahead and place my order. I'm thinking they must just be trying to get rid of these tops. Pssssh, much to my dismay, I see my order is 54 BUCKS when the confirmation screen which popped up AFTER I placed the order. Yes, they tacked on the 10 dollar shipping. There wasn't a place order, then review order, then submit button. I mean it's not that big of a deal because all the websites that still have this are charging $10.00, but it was a little deceiving. Oh well, none the less, it looks comfy and is one of those shirts that can be dressed up or down.

Even though you would have agreed to paying that much for shipping anyways, I think you should contact the company and say something!! I don't think they can "legally" add money on to your total after you hit "purchase". Who knows maybe they'll give you some of your money back, it's worth 5 minutes of your time!

Second - do NOT let that just go. WRITE to them and let them know that you are unhappy with the service. If they know their customers are telling their friends you better believe they will do something about it!! Why are you still reading this? Go...go write them! :-)

Love the shirt! And the new blog look, any tips on how you managed the three column? I tried it several months ago with no luck! And stinky of them to sneak that shipping charge in....

OMG love the new blog look!
You have to be careful with online stuff. They trick you. Like the other day mom ordered some sample teeth whitening stuff, well they started charging her $75 here and $80 there bc of the fine print. She cried, they gave her the money back..but still!! Cute shirt and it does look super comfy!!

Sometimes shopping online can be a big ol' hassle like that...but in the end you're getting what you want, so it's totally worth it, right?!

yeah i've had a few online companies do this to me, don't like surprise charges :-/
