Weekend and JL recap

So, as you darlins already know, LC and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary. It was a very low key one. We went to dinner at Spindini in downtown Memphis pictured below.

**(no, that's not us, silly)
We ordered calamari for an appetizer, a spinach salad to split, chicken parm for LC, pesto chicken pizza for moi, and creme brulee for dessert. Oh, and let's not forget the pinot grigio=) Okay, Okay! I know you don't care about the food. You just want to get straight to the presents!!!! I got LC the shirt from Jos. A. Banks with the monogram on the cuff. He didn't mind one bit. Thanks for the lovely advice on that one chicas!!! And, his other present was a pair of shoes for work from Johnston and Murphy. He picked those out. Lawyering must be hard on the feet since he got the same pair no more than 6 months ago. Pssh, who I am to know anything about being on the feet in court all day. Ahem, and now to what you really want to know, MY presents....LC gave me two dozen pink roses, a new pair of 7 for all mankind jeans, and the Lilly Pulitzer Dade dress. I'd say overall it was a lovely anniversary. He's all about things I need versus things I want. If my darn jeans weren't all so worn out, I would have gotten jewelry. Darn being practical, but alas, I digress. *sigh*

On to Junior League.... Girls, I really did have a fabulous time. We had a wine and cheese gathering beforehand just for the provisionals. We all chatted and interrogated the girls who've already been to the retreat this past weekend. My retreat is scheduled for this Saturday. While I was at JL last night, I saw a familiar face. At first, I was like how do I know this girl?!?!?!? And it dawned on me that she is a fellow blogger. Sometimes, she'll comment on my blogs. So, I went up and said hello. My blog is anonymous; so, my face is well, ahem, anonymous as well. I hope she doesn't think I'm a freak. If you're reading this fellow blogger and JL member, I'm sorry if I freaked you out!!! Ha! Have y'all ever run into a fellow blogger somewhere that you didn't know IRL (in real life)? Did you stop by to introduce yourself and say hello?

I saw a local blogger that I love to comment on a few months back before I was a regular commenter. I was too nervous to go up to her, so I didn't. It takes guts to walk up to someone like that! I am so glad you had fun!

I would LOVE to meet some of my online blogger friends, but I don't live near any of them. :( Sounds like you had a great anniversary!

Of course I don't think you are a freak. I was happy to meet you! We need to chat more sometime...

BTW most of the general meetings are not so umm how do you say it.....long winded. Or crowded.

Where is yall's retreat this year? I was a provisional last year and ours was a lot of fun.

It sounds like you had a fantastic anniversary!
About the skincare: If your main problem is really only discoloration, then your derm is right. If you are trying to prevent aging, then getting on a Retin-A incorporated skincare line is a good option. If you are worried with acne, then Obagi's Clenziderm is the bomb..I use it daily and I have been breakout free for 4 years! If you are just looking for something to wash the dirt away, any product like neutrogena will do.
If you having any other questions, feel free to email me at: truebeauty.insideandout@gmail.com I love giving this kind of advice :)

OMG what a perfect anniversary! You all are both so lucky to have each other. I dated a guy for 6 years that has no clue what 7 jeans or Lily are. I am so jealous of your gifts! Much deserved I am sure. So nice to hear about a great relationship!
