What would you buy????
I bet you're wondering why I've put a picture of a trashy ed hardy-esque something Jon Gosselin would probably buy for his new girlfriend to wear kinda t-shirt that only a girl like Britney Spears could appreciate. It's the only thing I could find that did not have some kind of wedding theme. On the 23rd, LC and I will celebrate our 1 year anniversary. He's my boyfriend, my best friend, and my soulmate. I have no clue what to get him. He told me he wants work clothes. I want to get him something personal; something that he'll keep. I got nothing. So......I need your help! What did you purchase your significant other on your first anniversary, or what would you purchase???????

I heart anniversarys! I bought my hubby on our 1 year anniversary a pocket watch (because he hates wrist watches) and I had it engraved and the pocket watch I chose was also like a locket so when you open it up you have the clock on one side and a frame for a photo on the other side, and I put a picture of him and I of course! :) He loved it! :) Hope that helps.
I got my boyfriend a monogrammed leather wallet. He had a ratty old one, and didn't want to spend the money to get a really nice new one, so I got it for him. I also got him an engraved sterling silver ring with both of our initials on the inside so he can wear it daily (he's into wearing rings).. good luck with finding your perfect gift, I'm sure whatever you get him, he will love it!! Happy Anniversary!
Paper is the traditional first anniversary gift...my sister made her man a journal/book with little memoirs in it {pics, tickets to shows, travel stuff} almost like a mini scrapbook that he loved {it was more manly than a scrapbook, trust me, ha!}. Clocks are a modern tradition, so a watch would be good, too! I'm sure he'll love whatever you choose!!
Happy Anniversary! Guys are so hard to buy for!!! I gave Michael a framed picture of the two of us. I also gave him an engraved flask. I love giving engraved gifts. You could get him a gift like clothes and then something personal like a picture or scrapbook.
I gave my bf ascrapbook I made from shutterfly of our first year together and the last page said ps I got us jimmy buffet tickets too!!
If he doesn't have one, a wallet clip would be nice. I got Mr. Potts one for a Christmas present - he just told me it is a money clip with credit card holders. Nice of him to chip in, huh? Anyway, he loves it. You could do that - I got him a Cole Haan one - and put a gift card to Jos. A. Bank or something like that?
PS: We're sitting on our porch having drinks while I'm "checking on delivery in our area."
Thanks for the tag - I have to do that tomorrow? Maybe tonight - that would be interesting!
My boyfriend loves Nixon watches, so I've been looking at getting him one of those for his bday. They are really cool and nice, you could look at getting him a good watch. Or if he dresses nice for work, some guys like cuff links - you could get him engraved cuff links. They even make cuff links with school mascots on them; for my best friend's wedding, her hubbie & his groomsmen all had Clemson cufflinks!
What is his favorite sports team? My hubby loves all things UGA, so I always try to find something UGA themed! Also, does he have an ipod? You could buy him one and have it engraved for a personal touch?
Blair and I have our 1 year coming up too. We are going on a cruise because we decided to spend our gift money on something we could enjoy together. However, I will still be making him a scrap book or sorts for the day. We have done so much fun and crazy stuff since we have been dating. We've travelled, we've helped each other through tough times... I'm just going to document it all. Its been a very special year.
my boyfriend loves to cook, so i got him a bunch of nifty kitchen gadgets. i also got him a really nice tie he could wear for all of his lawyer-related things. i know williams-senoma has really good kitchen gadgets that can be monogrammed.
whatever you end up choosing to get him, he'll love!
I would suggest a watch if he doesn't have a good one that he really likes. Or for a just for fun gift - a monogrammed flask. All boys need a good flask.
Congratulations =) My boyfriend and I just celebrated two years!
For our one year, I bought my bf a Garmin, portable GPS. His new car (new at the time haha) didn't have one and he said that's what he missed most about his old car. We also made dinner together and popped open a bottle of wine. The dinner made it more personal, you could always help LC with some work clothes and then make him dinner yourself or add a touch of something to the outfit to show it's something you liked for him.
Good luck! Blog when you decide!!
