So, I don't really have much to talk about. I'm on a clothing shopping hiatus. I haven't purchased an article of clothing in a bit. And for those of you who follow me on Twitter, no, I did not purchase the $7 clearance blouse from Target. I felt guilty for even doing that. I am trying to be a good little girl since Christmas is coming up, and I have other people's presents to buy for instead of presents for myself. I want to use my credit card as least as possible this season unlike last year.
However, I did feel it was okay to use my credit card today; because, after all, it was for God and stuff.
I waited til the last minute, and I did not get an Advent wreath last year. Of course, I waited til almost the last minute this year. That's so Belle. I wouldn't be me if I had actually bought this last week. For all my non-Catholics out there this is what an advent wreath is for:
"The Advent wreath is a Christian tradition that symbolizes the passage of the four weeks of Advent (Advent [from the Latin word adventus, meaning "coming"] is a season of the Christian church, the period of expectant waiting and preparation for the celebration of the Nativity of Jesus; in other words, the period immediately before Christmas.) in the liturgical calendar of the Western church. It is usually a horizontal evergreen wreath with four or five candles. Beginning with the First Sunday of Advent, the lighting of a candle can be accompanied by a Bible reading and prayers. An additional candle is lit during each subsequent week until, by the last Sunday before Christmas, all four candles are lit. Some Advent wreaths include a fifth, "Christ" candle which can be lit at Christmas. The custom is observed both in family settings and at public church services."-credit Wikipedia
This works out great; because I am getting a big wreath to hang on our front door from Costco which is similar to this Advent wreath.
Advent candles for my advent wreath
This was on clearance for $2.98. I couldn't let it not be ordered. It would make for a great hostess gift next year, or a nice bag to transport vino in somewhere next Fall. Sorry for the blurry picture. It says "Celebrate the Season".
And I got this poinsettia topiary. It was only 4$.
Now, I know you're wondering how I justified the last two items. Hey, this money I'm spending is being spent at catholicsupply.com. So, it goes towards God in the form of supporting a Catholic business. Yup, that's right. Keepin' it all in the family!
I'm gearing up for Black Friday. I'm scared. Do any of y'all do it? Normally, my parentals go and pick up things they know I'll like and/or call me once I'm up for things they see after my day has officially started. However, I'm off work this year, and I'm going to venture out. I keep hearing all kinds of effed up madness about shopping on Friday. Is it that bad? Any tips? Should I just stay home? I like shopping though. Are the deals that great, or is it just the experience?

I need to get an Advent wreath...
That is a beautiful Advent Wreath...I still don't have one. Oops! I usually go out every year for Black Friday (except last year when I had to work-in a store-talk about a nightmare). It's not too bad if you go out in the afternoon. There isn't quite the same selection as the early bird sales, but you get to sleep longer, avoid the height of the madness, and still get good stuff!
I waited until around 7 to get out last year and it was not to bad. But then I only had a couple stores to hit that day. Way to go with trying to not spend on your credit card this year. I managed to do it last year and it felt great.
The wreath is beautiful
Beautiful wreath!!!! :)
I love that topiary and I'll have to check out that site to get an Advent wreath! Thanks for the info!
