Admitting is the 1st Step...

I cannot believe I'm admitting this, but I'm turning 30 in a couple of months. WOWZERS. I seriously just admitted that to you!  I need some help. Anyways, I decided for my big 3-0 that I would be taking a girls trip to Na$hvegas. I want to find a gorgeous dress that doesn't break the bank. I'm saying $150 or less. I have a badonkadonk (I am built like JLo and Kim Kardashian); so, it would have to be flattering for an hourglass or pear shape. I've had the after Christmas blues as of late. You know the big 3-0 coming up, not married or engaged, am constantly finding MORE grey hairs, need to lose about 5lbs, need I go on....

Leave links in the comments. Email me links, polyvores, pictures, thoughts. Email is on profile and sidebar. Dress Me. INSPIRE ME. I need it!

Ah! I love finding great dresses (and I'm having an awful day, so this brightens my mood):

From Bloomingdales: Yoana Baraschi Neon Draped Satin Column Dress

Neiman Marcus (they have a last call clearance section on their site now): Diane von Furstenberg One-Shoulder Jersey Dress, Black

Dillard's: S.L. Fashions One-Shoulder Dress

Dillard's: Suzi Chin Ruffle Dress

Saks: BCBG One-shoulder tiered dress

My boss also sent me the link to this site with cute, affordable clothes: modcloth.com

On sale at BCBG.com: Strapless tiered dress
On sale at BCBG.com: Strapless printed dress

Maybe one of those will work :) Oh and can you tell i like one-shoulder dresses?!

Oooohhhh... I think BCBG has great dresses and if you find the dress you like in store you can almost ALWAYS find them on ebay for less... BEBE although sometimes too flashy for me also have some great dresses....

The PBF's sister always finds the cutest dresses at Dillard's... I never do, but she has more shopping patience than me!

Also, I'm crazy about BB Dakota lately.

and lulus.com usually has some fun dresses for $50-$150....

Good luck!

Love, I need to lose about 60 pounds before I would be able to consider putting on a rocking dress... I can't dress shop for you because it would depress me. You are a hawt mama and you're turning 30! Whatever dress you wear, you'll look great! & not old. Put it on and rock it on your girls trip!

Maybe LC is waiting on a special occasion for break out the rock....

I am pear shapped and it is so hard to find a cute dress. I go for wrapped dresses a lot.
For me 30 wasn't as bad as 25. The worst for me will always be growing older on Christmas day.

Well, you know I consider you to be in fabulous company since I just turned the big 3-0 a few months ago.
I had the hardest time finding a good dress. Have you ever looked at Francesca's? They have some cute stuff.
And you need to shut in about the 5 lbs. I'm the same height as you, with the same curves & need to lose about 30 extra pounds.

You really do have a great blog here. I have a blog myself which brings inspiration and guidance to people all around the world. Life is hard enough, and I hope my site can contribute anything positive to someone's day.

I'd like to exchange links with you to help spread some traffic around between each other. Please let me know if this is possible. Until then, keep up the good work.

Belle,

Thirty ain't shit dahling.
As for the not engaged or married. Try that at 40. Besides, you know on the hindsight, more time to explore, to make memories that will carry you through the next milestone. He snuck the diamond in 4 days before the forty for me, and yes I am glad we waited. Do you read my blog? If not, just read one post...this one.......http://bumpkinonaswing.blogspot.com/2009/12/bumpkin-looks-at-40.html
Now let's find that dress.....and make a 30 memory that will comfort you at 40.

Whatever dress you find, I know you're going to rock it!!! :)

Also, I've always wondered. How did Nashville start becoming called NashVegas??

You TOTALLY do not look 30. Feel free to share the secret (I think I already botched the whole sunscreen thing.)

I agree--lulus.com and modcloth.com are so frugalista.

p.s. Being an SL intern was so great! A little Devil-Wears-Prada-in-the-South some days, but I wouldn't trade it for the WORLD.
