Answers Part One....

And now the answers to your questions!

Emma asked, "What made you want to start blogging?"
-I lurked in the shadows reading blogs like My Brunette Reality (Formely Bergdorf Blonde, and My Blonde Reality), Make Mine a Mojito, Lipstick at the Mailbox, Pretty in Pink Megan, and Day Old News. Gradually, it led me to other blogs I enjoy to this day!

UPDATE: after posting this, I realized I didn't fully answer the question. I read these blogs for a few months too scared to start one on my own. Then, I met LC and wanted an outlet to talk about daily things we did or my thoughts without making my friends want to gag themselves. So, I started my blog without telling a soul. Eventually, I told one person who is my best friend B. She was the only one who knew til another friend stumbled across it I'm assuming by a comment I'd left on a blog somewhere and figured me out. Now, all of my friends pretty much know.

The Dishy Decorator asked, "What are your 3 favorite beauty products? Could be cosmetics, skincare, or whatever."
-1) Clarisonic Pro (Thank you MBR:) it gets my face so clean and soft  2) eye and face primer: I love Urban Decay's Eyeshadow Primer potion and Bare Escentuals Prime Time foundation primer 3) Halo Root Lifting Spray: I have fine, thin hair; so, I need lots of volume. This stuff is AWESOME!!!

JGIWC said, "I'd love to hear more about your jobs or your interests outside of blogging."
-My day job is in commercial lending. I'm just a lowly assistant aka I do the mounds of paperwork while my boss makes the big bucks. It's rather boring really.  Nothing much to say in all reality. My second job is a restaurant that I have worked at since I was in undergrad. I only work to-go shifts a couple of nights a week. Basically, I do the whole job of the server without actually serving you for the entire meal. I make sure your food is correct, packaged up, have utensils, extras, and all the things that you need to take home with you. It's not an order line. So, people TIP YOUR TO-GO PERSON.  In case you don't know, a lot of to-go specialists do not make more than minimum wage if they make minimum wage at all. They live off your tips too. In my biz, if your to-go person does a good job, tip him/her 10% and if not, lower it. As far as my interests, I love being outside. So, Summer is the perfect season. I love snuggling with my Puggy, and I love a good glass of wine. I LOVE LOVE LOVE going to movies, concerts, plays, musicals, anything artsy of the sort. I'm a self proclaimed bookworm reading anything from Chaucer to Stephanie Meyer. Although, I have a passion for the classics. I love music and art and love a good glass of bourbon. And, we ALL know I love clothes. bwahahahahahaha. And, I love spending time with friends and spending time with LC. I also enjoy Junior League much more than I anticipated. I love travelling anywhere warm. Hmmm, I'm interested in so many various things. If you'd like to know more, just ask or email or whatever. I'm cool with that.

Alanna asks, "how do you feel you've gotten better since a decade ago? how do you feel you've gotten worse? what's your favorite thing about yourself?"
-To answer how I've gotten better than 10 yrs. ago, I'd say I'm definitely more comfortable being in my own skin.  How've I gotten worse, I'd say I'm a tad less ambitious. I wish I had that hunger to do whatever I wanted to like I had when I was younger. But I'm more apprehensive now due to the little word "responsibility" i.e. bills, insurance, dog, and so forth. As far as my favorite thing about myself, I'll give you two things...one physical and one not. My favorite "physical" thing about myself is my nose. I have a small nose. Not freakishly small, think Jennie Garth (Kelly on 90210....which so happens to be my doppelganger. When I had blonde hair, I was often told I looked like her) My favorite non-physical thing would be my heart. I have an amazing heart. I love dearly and wear my heart on my sleeve whether I allow you to see it or not.

Amy wanted to know "How I met LC"
-We met through mutual friends. My friends started hanging out with some new friends, and he happened to be the brother of one of our new friends. We would always tease each other. One night we were all out, and LC's brother wanted to go home. I offered LC a ride back home if he wanted to stay out. He accepted. We all had a blast, and when I dropped him off he asked me in for taquitos. I know one might normally say a "nightcap", but since it was almost 5am, taquitos sounded fabulous. I thought he'd call the next day ahem, a few hours later..., but alas, he did not. I was kind of bummed; because, I thought we'd connected. About a week later, I was out at a charity event, and he asked me out via text message if you're thinking super lame, yes, i totally agree. Our first date was to a wedding he was a groomsman in. Awkward? Yes. If truth be told, I accepted this date under the influence. I'm shy, and I don't do well at functions like weddings where I don't know anyone. But his brother was going, and I was friends with him. So, it wasn't all that bad. Not to mention, his parents were there. So, needless to say, I was killing the awkward first date and the awkward first meeting of the parents all with one stone. I knew I would like his parents when I overheard his father telling his brother something to this nature, "Wow, she's pretty. He better be nice to her to keep her around." I remember looking at LC and just knowing that he was the man I was going to spend the rest of my life with. Although, I don't think I've ever told him that. But, it's true. And, the rest is history:)

Jennifer would like to know, "When are you coming to Savannah?"
-as soon as I can pay my credit card off:) that's my goal at least. Love you!

The Pink Chick asks, "If you were a tourist in your home town, what would be your must-sees?"
-If you're Catholic, definitely come to Mass at my church St. Peter's downtown. It was the first Catholic church in Memphis, and it was built by a renown church architect. It's beautiful on the inside. If you're not a huge Elvis fan, don't waste your $$ on Graceland. It's pricey and not in a good part of town. I would definitely do Beale Street bars on Friday or Saturday night. I would tour the Hunt-Phelan home, and you can also eat there. We, also, have the Victorian Village if you like touring old homes. Definitely go to the zoo. Our zoo is awesome! It's a must see:) If you're an artsy person, check out what the Dixon and Brooks Museum of Art is having when you come. I know a few months ago, Andy Warhol was on display at the Brooks. As far as food, you know we're famous for our bbq. Personally, I think The Rendezvous downtown that everyone raves about is overrated. The service is crappy in my experiences and the food, not so impressed. That's JMO. I love Corky's bbq in East Memphis, and I love the BBQ shop on Madison on the edge on downtown/mid-town. Definitely, check out what concerts are coming in the area considering the season. In the Summer, we have concerts on the river at Mud Island ampitheater, and often, you can catch a decent musician and/or band for a decent price. It's outside though...just saying. Hope that helps!

Hey, somehow you disappeared from my Google Reader! Problem now fixed.

So interesting to read this, and thank you for the product rec's. I've been looking for both a primer and a root lift, so I will check both of those out.

As a fellow Memphian, I would like to agree with you on The Rendezvous being over-rated. Don't care for it much. Don't care for Corky's either. I do love the BBQ Shop. My favorite is Central BBQ. LOVE THEM! And I'm not biased. My uncle is just co-owner : )

Central BBQ is my fave. And I don't eat BBQ often, to messy for me. :)
