So, the romper was trendy last year, and it's definitely still "in" for this Summer season as well. I'll admit I was not about this AT ALL. I thought you'll never catch me in one of those, but alas, this Summer, it's a different story. I'm not one to drop alot of money for "trendy" items. I spend lots of money on classics. Things I know I can wear 10 years from now. But, don't get me wrong, I like to be fashionable, and I'm not always uber conservative:) While at Target yesterday, I came across this romper. And, of course, I scooped it up. For $20, it's was worth it. Even if I only wear it this season (not sure it'll be "cool" next year), it will have paid for itself. I love the detailing up top. It's not printed on; it's actually embroidered. This style of embroidery always makes me think of Summer, tan skin, music festivals, nights and/or days!!!
They also have it in a pretty teal color. It would look so good with tan skin. But, I don't want to attract anymore attention to my JLo booty than I have to; so, I opted for the all black. And while we're on the subject of Summer and embroidery which I love....I, also, picked up this top at Macy*s one day sale yesterday for right at $20 tax included! I think it will look great paired with white pants this Summer like what the model is wearing.

I am always hesitant to pick up on trends too. I bought my first romper a week ago and will need some coaxing to leave the house in it. They are so cute though, and you really have a great find there. I love a good bargain, way to shop, Lady!
I'm still not 100% sold on the rompers, but you're right about it being a good price. And I love the embroidery! The top is really cute, too. I love the blue color :-) Good choice!
I broke down and ordered one from Forever 21. I don't think I've ever bought anything from there, but for $15.80... I'll see if the romper is for me or not.
Cute! Post a pic of you wearing it!
Not sure how I feel about the rompers. I think they're cute, but I don't think I could pull one off. You think you have the booty, but I have the hips AND chest too. I def. could not do something strapless unless I wanted to play tug of war with my bra all night- not the most flattering of looks.
I may find one too cute to pass up though, never can tell.
Oh I love rompers!!! This one is really cute! I have a peach colored one that I bought last year and I can't wait to wear it again.
P.S. I just did a post on Sue Devitt foundation. Come check it out! :)
I have a traditional mexican peasant dress (which I'm guessing is the inspiration for the embroidery)that I bought in the Mission while I was living in San Fran. It is been one of my best go-to pieces for the summer!
