Shake It UP!!!!

So last weekend, we had LC's parents over for dinner. His parents always have drinks with dinner. a.l.w.a.y.s. Us, well, there's always bourbon in our household as well as wine. However, we just keep it real. Bourbon and Coke (coca-cola people don't go assuming things!)  is our drink of choice or a glass of wine and mostly the wine has come from houseguests to our new abode to be honest. Well, LC's parents enjoy cocktails. Father LC ALWAYS ALWAYS drinks manhattans. With that being said, the few times they have come over, they always bring vermouth, cherries, AND a shaker. Yikes!!!! How embarrassing. But, they know we're just starting out. Plus, we've got to have stuff to register for when we get married. Ummm, do you hear that LC??? M-A-R-R-I-E-D! Ring is needed. thanksomuch, love you:) Anyways, back from going off on my tangent, vermouth is now in the cabinet along with cherries in the fridge, but the shaker not so much. I was so excited when Lifeguard Press sent me the Lilly Pulitzer cocktail shaker in Shaken Up. Their rep has no idea how freaking elated I was when I opened up the box of goodies from her company. It was like a kid on Christmas. No joke, ladies. So, now I have this pretty to make cocktails. Don't you just love the monkeys. Tehe!! So, Papa LC, next manhattan being made at our house is being shaken up in the pink shaker. No substitutions!
