Weekend Recap

Friday- Since my mouth was still sore, we opted for a lowkey evening.who am i kidding?!?!? every night is lowkey. I had soup for dinner, and we caught up on our dvr'd Monday night tv.

Saturday-Puggy had her re-check appointment at the vet. She is doing great! She had her stitches removed from the hernia correction surgery, and her little nose is healing up just fine. Not to mention, her little, purple dissolvable stitches on her nose are A-DORBS:) Then, my Mum and I had lunch at Bahama Breeze and did a little shopping! Believe it or not, I only purchased two things, and those were books!! A friend of mine recommended these, and they sounded pretty good for "light" reading! And, evidently, there is a third one called Blameless. I didn't know that til I started searching for these pics.  Gail Carriger's website describes these as such, "The Parasol Protectorate Series books are comedies of manners set in Victorian London: full of vampires, dirigibles, and tea. They are either Jane Austen doing urban fantasy, or PG Wodehouse doing steampunk." My girlfriend and I don't always have the same taste in movies and/or books, but when I saw the covers and read the back of the books I was sold!

Just had to share the covers!!!! I went to Mass Saturday, and the sunlight shining through the stained glass windows was absolutely beautiful. My church is very old and very beautiful!

Sunday- Puggy went for a bath at the groomer. Thank goodness, because, she was a stinky puggy since I couldn't bathe her all week due to her stitches and E-collar (you know the cone), LC and I had lunch at Zaxby's and headed off to Lowe's. We picked up some plants and paint and hurried home to partake in homeowning spring festivities. LC has been working so hard on the dining room. I'm going to post a picture once it's complete. He's finished all the wainscoiting. It looks AH-MAZING. Like a completely different room. And from the chair rail up, we picked a pretty green color, and it's going to be sheen striped. LC is trying to get out of this one, but we ALL know I'll get my way;) And lastly, we planted the flowers. We bought these gerber daisies and marigolds.

PS-no, i haven't forgotten about belle's boudoir! i'll be doing a post this weekend since i am attending a reception and shower!!

Wow! Thanks for posting these books they look fun! So many great book posts this week, my list just keeps getting longer and longer!

Glad you and puggy are feeling better! Does puggy get extra snuggly when you don't feel well... I've got a cold and my little Tori who normally hates to snuggle has been lying beside me and lying on my feet all week... it's like she wants to comfort me because I'm sick... it just melts my heart, and she gets snuggly like that when she's sick too....
