Then, I had them to fill in their name using descriptive words or phrases that would describe themselves. Such as:
Believable
Encouraging
Left-handed
Likeable
Entertaining

If the kids got stuck, they had to go get a dictionary, and of course, I helped them. They did such a great job and were so creative. It really helped me to get to know them a little better!

I have some most unusual names for students down here in AZ, mainly because we have many spanish children. One of my student's name is Xoixa. Wanna guess how that's pronounced!?? haha "Sa-Wee-Sah!" X is said as an S. I is Weee sound. crazy talk I know....

Great activity for them and a good way to incorporate agjectives AND a way for them to feel good about themselves by thinking something positive that describes them, that is if they chose something positive haha. Love reading about your school days, I say there is never a dull moment and something new happens every day!
