Wedding Wednesday-Save the Dates!

Ok, so, LC and I went back and forth about sending save the dates. We're sending out invitations the first week of September, so we thought that might be too close. However, then, we decided that sending save the dates out 3 months before invitations would give people enough time to block out their schedule and what not. Better to know ahead of time for scheduling purposes.

Our wedding is during football season. If you're not Southern, then you might not know what a HUGE deal it is to get married during football season down here. Some people will not come to your wedding because their team is playing. I kid you not!

So, I'd like your thoughts! These are the Save the Dates I have picked out. I don't know which one to choose. Our wedding is in October and the main color is chocolate brown with gold accents. The pops of color will be coming from the flowers which have gorgeous fall shades in them. So, keep that in mind. All these magnets are customizable to what colors I want.

I'm kind of leaning to number 2 since it's more of a Fall theme without being super cheesy. What do you think??

Southerners are so crazy about there football! I got married a couple years ago in Georgia and 3 people didn't come to our wedding because it was UGA/Alabama weekend. Seriously!

I like the 1st or 3rd one:)

Save the date magnets are so prefect. Then your guests are always reminded of your date and have a cute keepsake! I like the second choice! (:

You are so right about football and weddings in the South! But I must admit... I am as bad a guy when it comes down to weddings and football games, haha

I like numbers 2 and 3. But, as a thought from your earlier tweets, if you don't send them you might have a healthier decline rate since most of your guests are local. Just a thought...

Our wedding was suring football season as well and my husband is from Baton Rouge. I'll letyou do the math on why ours were needed. We actually had to wait until the season's schedule came out to even set our date!

Hmmm. I like #2, but maybe with a different font for the words, "Please Save The Date?" I don't mind the one there, but it doesn't seem to complement the rest of the text.

I like #4 as well. Maybe with a color palette that's more fallish? Good luck!

I like #3...it's so vintage and fun!

The magnet ones stay around forever - and that may not be a good thing. My in-laws have one on their fridge from a couple that got married a few years ago that are now divorced.
