What to do in Savannah?

Ok, y'all in less than a month we're headed to Savannah, Georgia for my BIL's wedding and our belated honeymoon. I guess at this point maybe it should be considered a vacation? Still, I digress... I would love recommendations on what to do while we're there. A couple of girls from Twitter have helped me out, but I've never been. I'd like to enjoy everything Savannah has to offer. What did you do while you were there? Any must-sees, must-dos, don't waste your time kinda places? Any help would suffice. If you don't want to leave a comment, just drop me an email (it's on the sidebar).

Thanks:))))

Sounds like fun! I heard recently that Savannah was one of the top 10 places to shop in the country.... so maybe take advantage of that! ;)

GO ON A GHOST TOUR! It's one of the most haunted cities in the country. The tours are super cool!

I went to Savannah several years ago and it is still one of my favorite places ever, I'm from the complete opposite side of the country and could only wish it was half as charming over here in Seattle! I can't recall specifics but one of my favorite blogs, Kevin & Amanda, has a couple of posts about Savannah, check these out: http://www.kevinandamanda.com/tag/savannah

Enjoy!!!!

Go to the Telfair Museum of Art- if you are a fan of Midnight in the Garden of Good & Evil- the statue from it is there! (i went there in 2007 to visit my friend C)

Hmm there are old trolley town tours that are really cool too.

There is a cool brewery (i think Moon River is the name of it)- you could do a tour

Definitely go shopping on the riverfront...

Hmmm if you are into Paula Deen, you could eat at her restaurant (although it is VERY fattening)

Have a picnic in the park with the big pretty fountain (forsyth park I think?)

Good luck!

Savannah is one of my all time favorite cities as well as home :) There's so much to do here. I tweeted you about the place you're staying being right in the thick of things, but not sure you saw it. Check out Broughton Street. Lots of fun shop. City Market always has live bands and there's art galleries and more shops. For the history buff, there are some awesome forts out there as well as home tours of some of the more famous homes. Take a trolley tour. Worth it and then you can see some of the spots to go back too. Eat brunch at Soho Cafe. Stay away from Lady and Son's (Paula Deen's place). It's a tourist trap and not worth the wait. The Bohemian Rooftop bar is awesome and my all time favorite is Savannah Smiles ( a piano bar. so fun). And Tybee is a fun beach community just 20 minutes from downtown with tons of local flair and plenty to do. And a beach. Duh ;) Have fun girl! Email me if you want any more recs. I have plenty!
