Now, on to my crazy world. A few weeks ago, I told you all about the Tacori fiasco. Well, a few days later, LC asked me why I didn't like the ring. I confessed the ring was absolutely beautiful and that I loved it, but everyone would know it wasn't my ring. He said, "No, they wouldn't". I told him "Yes, they would. Your parents know that was her ring. Your friends all know and have seen her ring. It wouldn't be MY ring." LC told me he was glad I didn't like the ring and wanted to get me my own ring, and that he personally didn't think it was big enough. Not as in the size as in carats. And ladies, that is exactly what I like to hear!!!! He then asked me what kind of ring I want. Honestly ladies, I had no idea. Seriously, I was never the girl who planned out her wedding at age 15, nor was I the girl who knew what dress, what color, or what ring was my dream one. I was more concerned about college and life and FUN=) So, I explained to him like I explained to his friend Emily that I truly had no idea. Then, I fessed up to my real plans that week. Originally, I had told LC that one day after work that B (my best friend and partner in snarky, sneaky crime) were going to shop for Mother's Day presents and go to dinner afterwards. Well, that was half true. I mean equivocating isn't technically lying, right? I mean the witches in Macbeth equivocated. It didn't mean they lied to poor ol' Macbeth. They just didn't tell the whole truth. As I did not tell the whole truth. Sure, B and I would glance at one or two presents for our Mummies, but we were going RING SHOPPING. So, I fessed up and said that we were going ring shopping and Mother's Day shopping. I mean I didn't lie I just didn't tell him everything. He was fine with it telling me that he wanted me to look at them. Seriously, it took every ounce in my body to contain my excitement and act like the non-chalant, easy going, it doesn't really matter whether you are going to buy me a ring self. Because quite frankly, I'm not going to release this contained
I just want a plain bland to go with it. It doesn't have to be Tiffany's, but geez, no yellow gold, please. Thanks! ha=) Do y'all have any suggestions? Do share what your dream ring would be. Leave a link in my comments. I would love to know!!!!!!!!!!
PS-this is how I felt since I've been away from BlogLand,. I missed y'all!!!!!!

I like this ring way better than that other one. Good choice!
In all honesty I think that simpler the better. And I have to confess that ring from tiffany's is the exact one I want when that day finally comes. Since I am kind of a tiny person i don't want a large stone either. Good choice :)
That ring is gorgeous. And I'm like you... no yellow gold please. However, my diamond cut of choice is princess. That's all I told my hubby (then bf) when we were talking about marriage. And boy did he do good! It is 1 carot but the solitare is raised w/ a bridge, making it appear larger than life. It also has 3 smaller diamonds on each side (all princess cut). And I couldn't have picked out anythine more perfect. =) GL!
I like the simple classic style engagement rings. I don't get into all the measuring contests or who has more diamonds thing. I didn't get to give my opinion on what I wanted and had never given it a thought either but I couldn't have picked it out better. :) I have a white gold band with a traditional cut diamond and I love it. I think you made a good choice!
Love that ring! Personally, I think I'll want something more antique looking, with a lot of detail. My first ring was round brilliant with side stones, on a platinum band, and I adored it. But now that I'm going to have a second round, I think I want something completely opposite! LOL!
I'm praying for you and your family!!
I despise yellow gold (mine is platinum and it's perfect!) mine isn't as simple as the tiffany one in the pic but not too detailed - but the hubby picked it out and I LOVE it!!
I know you will find the perfect ring ! The perfect guy is def. the hard part!! :) I'm so excited for you!!
Absolutely gorgeous and what a sweet guy you have. The most important thing in his eyes sounds like you, just like it is supposed to be. I am glad that things are going better and yes it all seems to come in spurts. I LOVE that post it, that is the description of my world lately.
lovely ring! i'm sure whatever he picks for you will be perfect :) i'm not ashamed to say my dream ring is ginormous. i heart asscher cut diamonds in antique platinum settings. a girl can dream!
This is very exciting! The ring pictured is very classic and beautiful!!!
prayers for you and your loved ones - it's good to hear everyone seems to be doing a little better!
also, i'm glad the ring thing worked out. i love Tacori, but i also would much rather have my OWN ring. good for you for sticking to your gut!
I agree the simpler the better. The ring is beautiful, good choice.
So glad to hear that things are calming down & going well for your family and pup! And I really like the ring choice - I think it's a nice, classic, always chic choice. And it's a choice that is all you, which is so important!
I hope you are having a great Memorial weekend. I wanted to let you know I tagged you on my blog.
Oh Miss Belle, what a priceless post! We're glad your Mother is doing okay, and also happy your cousin's injuries are healing. Your assessment of things "...just thankful that..." makes perfect sense.
Oh, and that ring thing? You go girl, we hope it is all you dream of even though you aren't dreaming in specifics! (We had ours designed using an old family stone and added some pink sapphires as accents, so we're not loads of help.)
Smile at you,
tp
