Smile=)

I'm so sick of looking at houses that I am perfectly content on living in my apartment. Well, that is until I wake up everyday and see the cluttered space in which I live. LC and I have too much stuff for our what is now a small space. It was perfect for me but not for two.

I was happy in upscale suburb. Although, the homes would be fixer-uppers, and at first, LC was okay with that. Now, after house hunting for a month now, we're I'm not really into fixer uppers. I want something that's move-in ready. We had to face the fact that right now we're just starting out. We can't have the square footage or the acres that we want. So, there's no reason to go and be house poor. We figured 4-5 bedrooms with 3 full baths. And, we've broadened our horizon to another suburb of Memphis. LC is going to look at a house how dare he while I'm at work tonight. He said if he likes it and is promising that we'll go look at it together tomorrow. I did a little research with the help of a co-worker (and yes, by the way, it comes in handy working in real estate) about the home. The home has never been lived in and was built in 07. Therefore, we're thinking the builder could never sell the home when the market fell out last year, and therefore, the lender took it back since was their collateral. That would be awesome; because, supposedly, it is full of upgrades. That is what my life has been up to as of late.

Today, at my office, we watched The Farewell (Michael Jackson's memorial service), and Brooke Shields brought tears to my eyes. Lately, I'll catch myself doing the Thriller dance when I hear the song. I do it without even thinking about it. He was the icon of my era. And, I will never forget the happy memories his music gave me. I used to sit and wait at my Grandma's house to for Thriller to come on. My aunt is only 10 years older than me, and my uncle was only 17 years older than me. So, MTV when they actually still played music videos. grrrrr! was all that was on in my Gma's house 24/7. I remember locking myself in my room listening to my Bad cassette tape just to get away from my parents. I forgot about MJ's music til I got to college, and one of my favorite late night spots only plays R&B Motown. I danced to PYT (pretty young thing), Billie Jean, Beat It, ABC, and Gotta be Starting Something more times than you can count. I mean just look at those feet, those toes!!! He really was one of my favorites. I'll leave you with MJ's favorite song as was performed by his older brother Jermaine today at his service. Hearing about all the wonderful things he did as a person made me want to be a better person.

Smile
Smile though your heart is aching
Smile even though its breaking
When there are clouds in the sky, you'll get by
If you smile through your fear and sorrow
Smile and maybe tomorrow
You'll see the sun come shining through for you

Light up your face with gladness
Hide every trace of sadness
Although a tear may be ever so near
That's the time you must keep on trying
Smile, whats the use of crying?
You'll find that life is still worthwhile
If you just smile

That's the time you must keep on trying
Smile, whats the use of crying?
You'll find that life is still worthwhile
If you just smile

Good luck finding a house. You will know when it's the right one. I saw the funeral at work and I was crying by the end, especially when his daughter said she loved her daddy. So sad.
