Let's see what the dermo says today...

Ladies, I am dissatisfied with my dermotologist. A friend of mine uses the same one, and she likes him. I am on the you get one last try buddy wagon now. The last time I was in there about my melasma he brushed me off on the aesthetician. She sold me some kind of bleaching cream. which didn't really help at all. A couple of weeks ago, I was in my dermo's building and stopped by for a quick skin consultation with the nurse. The nurse suggested Glytone for everyday use and the Obagi for my melasma. How come the doctor didn't take the time with me on my last visit to go over the different options for my skin?!?!?!?!? They always have appointments. It's either A) they suck or B) they overbook. I'm thinking a combination of the both.

Wish me luck!

I'll let y'all know the details tomorrow.

I hope this appointment goes better! This sounds kind of like the one my BFF goes to, because apparently he stays extremely busy, but she loves him, too (or maybe there's just several like that around here).

Hey girl just found your blog through a friend's blog!!! I think I should start going to a dermo. I've been trying not to admit it, but a 22 year old girl shouldn't be having such skin problems! lol :/

Come over to my blog & enter my giveaway if you get a chance!!

xx

That stinks. At least the nurse was helpful! Finding a good dermatologist is HARD! Good luck with your next appointment :-)

Well, Glytone does rock. But I know how frustrating it is when all you want to see is the doctor.

I hate the dr. I really don't get why they make you wait. And wait. And wait. And I've noticed they are not the most patient people. Well, don't make me wait in your office and I won't make you wait in mine :)

I think I've visited probably 20 derms throughout my life. Perhaps I am expecting too much, but it's frustrating when you don't get the results you hope for! Anyway - good luck, hope the appt. goes well for you!

I hope you have a pleasant visit. The Obagi step 3 "Clear" will work, but you have to use it at least twice a day on a clean face and you will see results in a couple of weeks. It can make you red and itchy, but it really works. I have a redhead, freckle faced (I love her so I can say that) lady who works for me and it took all of her freckles away! It really is the most effective and inexpensive treatment.
Keep us updated :)

i decided i am not going back to mine. she made me feel stupid for asking about a mole, like i was some hypchondriac. i know she makes most of her money from woman wanting wrinkle free skin, but sometimes people actually want advice on things like you know, potentially cancerous moles. good luck!

good luck! I need to see a dermo doc too but I am putting it off. One thing at a time for me.

Wishing you much more luck at this appointment! I hate when the dr seems rushed and doesn't really assess the problem.

It's so weird that he treats you one way and me another! I always have a pleasant visit. I never wait more than 15 minutes in the waiting room, and once I'm in a room he is usually with me in 5 or so minutes. Who knows.

I guess he just isn't for you. I hope you find one that is better for you!
