I know, I know you're just dying to know what my Florida trip entailed. I'll post about that tomorrow, don't you worry. I don't have a pic loaded yet; so, that is why I'm waiting til tomorrow. But one night, we grilled out and one of our friends made this sangria. I promise you, I downed about 2 or 3 glasses without even realizing it. Well, that doesn't sound like much does it, but when you drink it quickly, it is. And, this stuff is like liquid crack. Seriously. But like crack in a good way. I've never tried crack, but I assume that it would leave you wanting more and more like this sangria does. You cannot taste the alcohol, and girls, let's just say, it made me so "happy"
and we know what happy means when alcohol is involved that I was hurting the next day. So, I thought I'd share with you ladies; because, I know us "untrue","wannabe" WASPS
okay, I know I said I was going to live by that quote yesterday, but I get one or two snarky comments a day, right? and, now back to being gracious=) love a drink that's simple and easy but is so pleasantly good. Well here it is ladies, enjoy!
WHITE SANGRIA*
Ingredients:
2 (750-ml) bottles white Spanish wine, such as Albarino (Galacia), Viura (Rioja), Verdejo (Rueda), or Sauvignon Blanc
1/2 cup Spanish brandy
1/4 cup Spanish orange liqueur
1 cup pear juice
1/2 cup superfine sugar
1/2 cup sliced pear
2 apricots, pit removed and sliced into thin wedges
2 peaches, pit removed and sliced into thin wedges
1/2 pound seedless white grapes
1 (750-ml) bottle Prosecco, chilled
Directions:
Combine the wine, brandy, orange liqueur, pear juice, and sugar in a large pitcher and stir until the sugar has dissolved. Add the fruit and stir well to combine. Cover and refrigerate until well chilled, about 2 hours.
Stir in the Prosecco and serve the sangria in large wine glasses, over ice if desired

Ooh, that sounds great! I'm not the biggest fan of red wine, so I'm always looking for yummy white sangria recipes!
This sounds absolutely delicious! Thanks for sharing the recipe! I am definitely going to have to try it!
Yummy!!! I have a love/hate relationship with "adult beverages" that are so delicious and in which the strong amount of alcohol can't be detected easily....I love them while drinking them...but hate the next day! haha
Sangria is definitely delicious! I haven't had any in forever - actually since a spring break trip in law school to D.C., but it is so refreshing!
Yum Yum! Love a good Sangria!
Loove sangria :) I've never tried any with brandy! Sounds delicious!
