Hi loves! Now it's time to talk about beautiful FL. We stayed in Destin at a highrise resort condo beachfront. The view from the balcony was just beautiful. And believe it or not, the first couple of days we were there it was warm and so was the ocean!!! The buildings in the resort are named after The Virgin Islands. We stayed at the lovely St. Thomas. And, one of the swanky things at this place is, all the owners have to do is email the resort and tell them to put out our chairs and umbrella on the beach for us during our stay. Not to mention, we had our own storage room downstairs. No lugging beach stuff up the elevator or tracking in sand. It was awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ok, I sound like a hillbilly going to some ritzy place, but hey, this was the nicest condo I'd ever stayed in!We ate breakfast at the condo everyday, and grilled out two nights, and yes, lest I forget, drank that yummy sangria I posted about yesterday. Yum Yum!
We went to dinner one night at Pompano Joe's. It's a restaurant right on the beach which is cool. The last time I was in FL, I stayed right by there, and we would walk up the beach and grab lunch. It's great because the windows let the breeze in, and there is a spectacular view of the ocean. However when I dined there this time, it was chilly and the windows were closed=( I tried an oyster for the first time, and it was not bad at all like people make them out to be. They were kinda salty and chewy, but NOT bad.
One afternoon, we decided to go to The Market to get some lunch. Normally, I ALWAYS eat at The Back Porch every time I go to Florida, but we didn't end up going. I was sad=( but there's always next time=) Instead, we ate at Harry T's. If you've been to this area you know what place I'm talking about. They have the cool, crazy t-shirts, and yes, of course, I had to have one. Ha! It was delish!!!!!

Awww I love that area :) I live in Tallahassee, about 2 hours away. I've never been to Harry T's, but have heard so much about it! Usually when we go we stay at my husband's uncle's condo in Watercolor, and stay pretty isolated!
I've never been to Destin, but I have heard so many good things about it from friends and fellow bloggers. I'm thinking we're going to have to go sometime!
Sounds like fun! I'm dying for a beach trip!
Sounds like a great time. I can't wait to try the Sangria recipe :-)... Wish you were closer so we could share a pitcher!
Glad you had fun on your little getaway!
So jealous. Very beautiful, I live in Florida and have known so many people to vacation there. On my to-do list :)
Love Harry T's! And congrats on your first oyster. I love them!
GLad you had fun!!
Oh how fun! My family and I go to Sandestin every year and I know and love all these places you mentioned!
Fun Fun! I love Pompano Joe's and Harry T's...I just love that whole new area where Harry T's is located. Glad you had a fantastic time!
I'm majoring in Political Science with a minor en francais. Welp, I go to Miami University and last year I spent all my time playing so my parents told me they would give me a year to "get it together" and I was like...um, not possible. So I transferred to a branch campus to work on my GPA and I don't really feel like going back to the main campus...so Vanderbilt it is! I would love to go to Georgetown, but I'm not sure I could live in the city. I'd rather just vacay there.
That's fabulous! My sister goes to Milligan. I'm hoping to come down for Thanksgiving! Very exciting :) PS- I love your "Paperless Post"
I love Destin...looks like the place you stayed was awesome! Glad you had such a great time and that you survived the car ride {hehe}
