I stole this off of Summer Wind's post, but it is exactly how I feel today.
People are often unreasonable and self-centered.
Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people will accuse you of ulterior motives.
Be kind anyway.
If you are honest, people may cheat you.
Be honest anyway.
If you find happiness, people may be jealous.
Be happy anyway.
The good you do today may be forgotten tomorrow.
Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have and it may never be enough.
Give your best anyway.
For you see, in the end, it is between you and God.
It never was between you and them anyway.

Thank everyone for your sweet tweets, comments, and emails. And yes, now you can put a face with a "pen" name at least. Yesterday put a lot of things in perspective for me. It made me see things and certain people in my life in a different light. But there will be no hate post, lord knows, that hateful blogger that was posting things that bashed bloggers yesterday was enough meanness to circulate our little blogger world. Today, I look at my glass as half full. I realize that yesterday helped me grow as a person. I realized that even though I've never met some of you IRL, that you are some of the best friends a girl could ask for, and that our community is truly not understood unless you are a part of it and participate versus lurking in the shadows. I, too, used to be a lurker you know. I will not apologize for anything I say on here unless it is truly warranted. This is my blog, and these are my musings. If you choose to misinterpret them, read too much into them, or let your own insecurities cloud your judgment to believe things are always directed at you, then that is your choice. I do not make anyone read my blog. It's a choice that you make, not me. In the words of Mrs. Petunia

Great post! I can't believe someone would talk about all these sweet ladies on a blog and leave those terrible comments!

I have been away from my computer most of yesterday and today, so I just caught your last two posts! I am so happy to put a face with my blog friend! You are so pretty!! Also, I want to let you know that you and your Mom are in my thoughts and prayers!
Belle,
I realize I don't comment much, but I love your blog. I don't know what the "mean blogger said" but I know that you are too nice for any of that negative stuff. I read your transition post and I thought it was just that and there was no bad light shone on anyone. I will keep you and your mom in my thoughts and prayers.

This was great. LOVED it!!!!! :)
I love your blog! Ah, I know- my mom grew up in Chicago and so when I was little and started saying "Ya'll" she was like "NO WAY!"...that was when I was 4. Fortunately, I am getting ready to transfer (again) and this time I'm looking at UK and Vanderbilt!! You live in Tennessee, right? Anywhere close to Nashvegas? Xo
