You know what annoys me....

is when money gets in the way of being nice! Okay, so a few weeks ago, I found a beautiful, antique jack in the pulpit vase on E*bay. In case you have an Iphone and don't know this, it doesn't update fast enough with the E*bay app. I kept refreshing even down to the last second and wasn't outbid, only to find out via email, that I had been outbid. Your phone doesn't update in time:( Anyways, I found another similar vase to the one I had been outbid on by the same seller. I heard the alert go off, got too busy, and forgot to bid on the vase. So, I email the seller and ask if he/she has another vase similar in pattern to this past one that I missed out on. The seller responds in a timely manner saying he/she does and will be listing it soon. Ok, cool. Then, a little bit later, the seller emails me asking whether or not I would still be interested if he relisted it because the buyer "accidentally" bid on the wrong vase; otherwise, she has offered to go ahead and complete the purchase. Awesome, snaps for me! So, I email the seller back and was like I am still interested and told he/she to relist OR to send me an invoice. I explained I would pay exactly what the seller won it for. Then, after some emails about how to send the invoice, the seller all of the sudden decides to relist the vase versus selling it to me. And yes, it turns out to be a man. He said, "I'll relist to make it right for all. That way it will bring what it will again. Thanks for your interest in vase. I do have another similar. I sold another one last week which did much better at auction." HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM, ok, so, now he knows I'm interested he thinks he can make more moolah by relisting it. I think me offering to pay the auction price and not haggling him was fair. He's just being greedy. Oh well, I guess business is business, but still......

PS-I hope I win the vase at less cost than the first auction since he wants to be this way. Is that mean???

It's not mean of you at all! He's definitely trying to be an opportunist now that he knows you're interested. I wouldn't pay more than what the original winning price was, just to spite him!

What a pain... I never buy anything from auctions on eBay... only Buy it Now.

That was super rude of him to relist it after telling you you could have it. I don't think it's mean of you at all; I hope you get it for less too. Most people would have tried to talk him down from the auction cost.

It's not mean - I think he's terrible not only for not selling it to you for the auction price, but relisting it after he told you that you could have it.

I hope that it's way less than this price and that you get it for a steal!

Aweful of him to relist it after agreeing to sell it to you.
Good luck winning it at less than the original winning prices.

Not mean. It would serve him right for being greedy!

I too hope you get the vase for way under the original price! There is no reason for that ebay seller to be so greedy!
