Annoyed...

no, this isn't my puggy. i just thought it was amusing. tehe

I wrote a post about Ash Wednesday. If you read it in reader, and it's not there when you click it, it's because I deleted it. No one wants to hear my religious rambling. Not to mention when I published it and had to edit it three different times for stupid grammatical mistakes, I figured it was a sign from my God that my post was not meant to be published. Haha.
I know you're wondering why I'm annoyed. I purchase ALOT of stuff on Ebay. You can find really good deals on there. I've only had to return one item. It was because it was missing part of the costume. Get your mind out of the gutter. It was for Halloween. The seller was speedy in her emails, apologetic, and gave me a refund. What kills me is that sellers send you a bajillion pay me now invoices, but after the sale, it takes them FOREVER to respond. They sure respond immediately when you're asking them questions before the sale. Afterwards, speediness declines dramatically. Because of the holiday, I got all my packages at once. One dress was an Eliza J. Maybe it's just me, maybe, I'm the only weirdo who inspects probably every inch of clothing, but there was a snag, barely noticeable, but still a snag. It's a satiny type fabric so you know how it looks when there's a pull. But it's a $200 dress, and I paid $24 including shipping for it. Plus, it's the type of dress you'd wear to dinner or out for drinks. Not a big deal. That's cheaper than buying a dress at F21. If I wear it once, I got my money's worth. I, also, bought a NWT nike dri-fit tank. Yeah, there's a stain on it. It could be a hanger mark, not sure. It's just work out clothes so I emailed the seller letting them know it had a stain on it that wasn't mentioned on the listing. Seller asked if I wanted to just keep it or return it. It's just work out clothes; so, I asked if I could have a discount if I kept it. Sheesh, it has a stain on it. I wouldn't have bid on it if I'd known about the stain. I feel knocking off a couple of bucks is fair. It's not like they're going to refund me the price of the sale + the additional shipping costs for returning it. Then, there's this dress I've been wanting. I found it on Ebay but wasn't sure if the size would fit me. I ordered it from Dillard's to check the size, and then, I returned it knowing my size to buy it on Ebay for half the price. Ladies, when things are too good to be true. They are usually too good to be true. The dress came and I noticed a line towards the bottom. At first I just thought it was a crease from being folded and shipped. Nope, not a crease. Upon further inspection the line is from two pulls on the inside of the fabric. Was this mentioned in the listing? Nope. I emailed the seller to see if she had another size and to let her know about the mishap. She of course didn't have another in my size and didn't know how the snag happened since she inspected it on her mannequin. But, she asked if I wanted to keep it and get a discount or return it. I opted for returning it. It's a nice dress. Something I would wear again and again. And for 85 bucks, I'd rather just have my $$$ back. I can get it at a local store for more, but it won't have a snag. I emailed the Nike person on Tuesday afternoon to which he responded quickly. When asking for a discount? Still haven't gotten a response. Dress girl? She emailed back a few hours later on Tuesday. When asking for return address to send to? Still haven't heard back. I'm annoyed. I know peeps are busy. I'm busy. But when you know someone is having issues with YOUR product, you should try to check your email a little more often. Just sayin.....
Maybe, I'm just being b*tchy because I'm addicted to my Iphone and check my Twitter and email ALL day long. Grrrrrrr!!!

I found my rehearsal dinner dress on ebay in a size 6, and this post makes me anxious about buying it...

I hope you get it all resolved...

I liked the ash wednesday post! :)

ugghhh... I get frustrated on ebay too... I get frustrated with people who buy it and then want to return it become it doesn't fit... I sort of expect that if I buy something on ebay I'm buying it taking the risk that it might not fit, so I'm sorry if you thought you were a size two but are actually a size four, that is why I include sizing charts.... If I miss something in my description I'll happily refund and accept returns... but I just don't think that ebay works on a try it on and see position... I mean isn't that one reason why stores charge you more, b/c they have a facility where you can try it on first, and they pay people to steam it and re-hang it when you wrinkle or crease, or deodorant stain it while you are trying something on?

I think it is COMPLETELY reasonable to expect them to email you back quickly. Especially if they already have responded before.

haha... I wasn't trying to imply you returned it for size... I was just hijacking your post to add in my own ebay gripe... and also wondering if I was the only one who thought ebay wasn't about trying things on first.... for what it's worth I think you were completely justified in all of your returns! :)

Sorry :)

that is the funniest picture! I love it. And I totally agree with you on ebay.

Totally reasonable to expect it to be what you bid on.

I inspect every inch too! You are not weird at all! I haven't ever had a problem on Ebay, but there is a first for everything. I get very scared when I order things off ebay that something will be wrong with it. I still end up bidding and then when I get it I inspect it that much more. Ha! I did have a problem with a textbook on half.com though. He never sent it and never responded to my emails. Not even once! I ended up having to get a refund and it took me like 8 weeks plus the time I waited for the book to arrive, so like 3 months to get my $80 back. It was crazy. I am extra picky about who I buy from now on half.com!

I totally get it. I sell on Ebay and I do my best to respond immediately and I ship next day. But some sellers totally blow you off. It makes it harder for all of us. So now I only buy from sellers with the gold ribbon cause if I see something I can't live without and the seller doesn't have good feedback I wait cause buying from a bad seller is a bad headache. :)

I've only ever searched on ebay. Never made a purchase. Sounds like you've encountered a few cheeky sellers lately... I'm just a little scared of the whole concept. Hope it all works out for you!

What a mess hun!! I hate things like this! I hope that they get in touch with you asap!!! So frustrating! Good for you for returning the dress (or trying to) and I'd totally keep the workout shirt (but only for a discount)!

You are right! That is soooo annoying and they sure are fast when it's about getting their money. I have my ebay account set up with my work email. I had bid on something and won it on Friday evening after I left work and by Monday morning I had FIVE messages from the seller. Geez!

Anyway, hope you get your money back! :)
