Breaking down, Falling apart

No, my relationship with LC is fine. Thanks for asking. Remember my post yesterday where I was all like I'm perfectly content with being 30. Yeah, scratch that, at least for today. See, the thing is when you are young, you are invincible. You can stay up all night, come home tore up, eat Krystal's at 4am, get up go to class hungover/still drunk, go home sleep it off, go to work, do it all over again. And do you get sick? Rarely. Do you have major issues? Probably not. But just when you get older and start taking care of yourself, you start freaking falling apart. I have acid reflux. Thank you heartburn gods for putting a damper on my eating lifestyle. What, tomatoes hurt? Psssh, I don't care. I EAT THEM ANYWAYS. Then, I complain and shove tums down my throat and deal with it. What, booze hurts? I drink it anyways. Well, because booze IS worth the burn. Chocolate? You're killing me, but I eat you anyways. Caffeine...I'm dying a slow death. But I manage. I manage daily.=by the grace of God.
Now, I know you think I'm rambling, but I'm getting to the point now. Every year, I have x-rays taken at the dentist. Every year, my now-retired dentist said my wisdom teeth have not moved. Not even a smidgen. He said it's likely they won't come in. Because from the pics, they are seriously jacked up. They are going all different kinds of directions. Not pretty to say the least ladies. My dentist retired, and I started going to LC's dentist last year. Nope, no talk of wisdom teeth. I noticed my top teeth were a tad sensitive a few weeks ago, but I chalked that up to maybe them shifting because I had braces when I was young. I made a mental note to discuss that with the dentist at my cleaning yesterday. The dental hygienist who was ridiculously cute in her pink and green scrubs nonetheless informed that a wisdom tooth had broken the skin. What? How could this be. I'm like freaking 30. Ok, not yet. Technically, I have 21 days, but still I digress. It's like not fully in. Kinda like a baby's tooth. However, it is not straight. Nor are ANY OF THEM. To make a long story short, I have to have my wisdom teeth removed. Whilst, it's only the one right now, I am getting them all out in one big, teeth pulling/cutting out soiree. WTH, I am falling apart as the years keep on creepin on. Needless to say,  my tooth hurts today. I'm not quite sure if it's really hurting, or if it's my imagination playing tricks on me since I know it's there now. But silly me, tricks are for kids. OF COURSE IT FREAKING HURTS. I refuse to ruin my bday. It will have to wait until the middle of next month. I'm sure it's nothing a little vino and/or bourbon can't cure:) Or both. Tehe.

Sorry your body is betraying you. My decline has begun as well.... I got blood work this week at the doctor and I'm all messed up.

Geesh, somebody should just shoot me and put my out of my misery. Not really, but kinda.

I had my bottom two out in high school because of my braces. I am so worried one day they will tell me there is not room afterall for the top two and I will have to go through it again.
Happy Valentine's Day

Girl I love this post and love you too! Hang in there, but at least you are at a phase in your life where you can be honest about yourself even when it's hard....

Hang in there... and although wisdom teeth hurt, the give you plenty of pain management meds, and its an excuse to chill on the couch for a few days catching up on reality TV, which if you ask me is the perfect way to recover from a totally awesome girls b-day weekend in Nashville! :)

Bummer! I still have all 4 of mine. I'm kind of waiting for the day they tell me I've got to have them out... Hope it all goes well!!

Had mine cut out when I was around 14. I had already started to cut one, but the others were on their way. The hubby had his cut out when he was around 26. It was definitely interesting. He had the nurses in tears laughing at him talking about Prince Mongo. Yeah, I don't know what they gave him but it must have been good stuff.

You'll be so glad when they're gone - trust me! Then you won't have to worry about them anymore.

oh you poor dear. I had my wisdom teeth out at 30ish too. Same kind of thing...all of a sudden there were these little things poking up in the back of my mouth, but you know it was not nearly as bad as I though it would be. It made for a seriously fab post though. ;)

Many, many thanks for your email! xoxo

I got my wisdom teeth out at 22, which isn't 30 but still pretty late in the game. Those stupid things are so annoying, but I was happy to get a few days off work and have some people take care of me. That's the best "silver lining" I can come up with.

Oh, and during the recovery, I lived on Ramen noodles and purple gatorade, my favorites.
