Advice is needed please:)
So, as of March 25th, I have been at my second job for ten years. TEN WHOLE YEARS. That's literally one third of my life as it is right now. WOW! My employer gave me a plaque with a gold star on it and a $500 bonus. As I was reading Mrs. Lacey's post today, it reminded me that God does work in mysterious ways. I really really really really needed this money. For my ten year anni, I wasn't expecting a monetary gift. After all, I work at a restaurant, average about 6hrs a week, and am not a manager. I was so thankful that tears welled up in my eyes when my two managers gave it to me. The three of us have worked together for so long and get along so well, and they were smiling from ear to ear when they gave it to me. I have great bosses and couldn't ask for anything more! Most of my bonus is going to a very much needed cause that is NOT about myself. But, I have been wanting a pair of wayfarers for forever. Literally forever. So, that is the one things I am going to get myself with part of the bonus money. I purchased the "new wayfarer" from Sunglass Hut last night, but they didn't have the "original wayfarer" for me to compare it to. Not to mention, I found a legit website that sells it for a chunk cheaper. So, I will most DEF be returning the pair I purchased to buy from the other website. I have a small head (no joke, seriously) and a heart shaped/oval face. See profile pic for reference. tehe. For you wayfarer owners, did you get the originals or the new ones???

You know I have both, haha! So excited you are getting Wayfarers, I know you have wanted them for so long! Go with the smaller frames if you have a small head. Congrats!
I have a very small face too. Mine are the originals, I think they look best on most people. I even tried to get my boyfriend to wear them, but he won't :(

Congratulations on ten years!! It's so funny how unexpected things like that come at just the right time...I got my bonus this year right after my dog got sick and my car broke down, just as I was beginning to wonder how I was going to pay for both. Perfect timing!
How sweet of your manager to give you a bonus! Congratulations on 10 years!! I am no help with the sunglasses. I think they both are super cute. I would lean toward which ever pair was the smallest.
Congrats on 10 years and that bonus! I have the "new" Wayfarers they had both when I went. The originals looked really strange on my face and they kind of jut out. It's hard to explain, but with my face shape, the originals weren't for me. I really love the new style.
I've got the originals! Best.purchase.EVER. They look great no matter what I'm wearing, and the quality is so good. I've had mine for over three years and they look brand new!

Definitely get the new style, that's what I have...along with a bazillion other Ray-bans, but these are definitely my favorite. The originals are just a little too large for my face, and the top of them slants too forward for me.
Also, I posted a blog about two different watches I like on Monday, and can't decide. Let me know what you think. Don't you love listening to others' opinions? It seriously does help!
I have the originals. Mine are actually do old on the inside they say "Ray Ban by Baush and Laumb" and are labeled Wayfarer and do not say Ray Ban on the lense
WOW! Congratulations! Ten Years is huge... Has it been your second job for all ten years? What do you do there?
This may be too much of a personal question, but do you work for a Fast food restaurant... the only reason I ask is that we have several clients who are fast food restaurant brands and we teach them to give recognition to their employees and we love to see it in action.... so I was wondering if you worked for one of our clients, so we could share the story... if that makes sense!
I have the originals, and get this they're like 12 years old, and still my favs for the boat.

As for the wayfarers, I like the originals better. The new ones seems too sporty for me. You can never go wrong with originals! ;)

I really love the old version too. Congratulations on your 10 year mark. You really deserve that bonus, it's dedication and loyalty that I'm sure your managers see every time you come into work. I don't know if you've gotten yours yet, but after seeing the photos, I have the updated. They look way smaller than the originals in the picture, but they are still pretty big on my face. Don't know if that matters.
But PS - There is no better pair of sunnies than these.
Congrats!! I have the originals myself, and I have a small face and I have never loved an accessory more than I love my Wayfarers! You are making an investment! :) So congrats on your bonus, AND on some new Wayfarers!
