Tomorrow's the BIG Day

So, tomorrow is the first day of school, ANDDDDDDDDD I'm terrified. I'm not terrified about classroom management; I'm terrified of failing my students as a teacher. I'm scared about not being a good teacher. I'm scared about teaching them on their level. Sure, I'm a lit major, and I can write. But, can I teach them how to write? I woke up a million times last night due to freaking out. I'm hoping I sleep well tonight. You see my last job was not the best monetarily, but I learned it quickly.  It was like a safety net, and I was comfortable. Making a complete career change is kind of like taking a leap of faith. You have no idea when you take that step if you're going to touch ground or fall. It's scary. Please wish me luck:) Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Well, enough about my freaking out and on to the good stuff......my OOTD (outfit of the day) for my first day of school. lol
cardigan: NY&Co.(khaki color not online)
ruffle chiffon tank: NY&Co.
necklace: NY&Co.
pants: express editors
shoes: sam edelman gladiator

Here's an upclose look:

And yes, I broke my no shopping ban:( I bought the tank, 2 cardis, and 2 necklaces from NY&Co. I had a 50% off coupon. Yes, I was bad. Now, I'm back on track:)

You will do great!! I do have a really neat writing activity that I used to do when I taught middle school. I actually sent it to the Tennessee Teacher magazine and they published it. I'd be glad to share it with you if you want it! The kids are gonna be so excited to be in your room. Love your outfit! xoxo

YAY! You are going to do great! You are going to get the hang of what they understand and what they don't. It's going to be a learning process for you too. You are going to be a FABULOUS teacher! AND and well dressed one! I think you deserved new clothes for your first week of being a teacher! Good Luck

P.S. You can call, email, text, twitter, or even send a letter on the Pony Express, but I have to hear how today went!!!!

Cute outfit!

I'm a little behind on reading my blogs, but I'm sure you did really well :-) I have a lot of respect for you for "going back to school" and teaching - it takes a lot of commitment, and I think you'll be wonderful in this new role!
