Have you ever thought about this?

Maybe, I'm just a weirdo. I've been sick lately with a nasty cough. Seriously, if you heard my voice, you'd think I smoked a pack or two of Camels a day. I don't smoke at all btw. The raspy, man voice is not sexy! Off topic...back to the point. I'd been taking this cough syrup which was orange flavored, and well, it didn't taste much like oranges. Yummy? No. So, when I ran out I was excited to buy the grape flavored one. YUCK! Then, it got me thinking that most things that are "supposed" to taste like strawberry, grape, orange, etc. often do not taste like their fruit counterpart at all. Have you ever thought about how grape candy doesn't actually taste like an actual grape? Maybe, it's just me.....

Agree 100%

The closet would have to be watermelon for me.

haha I have always hate anything artificially flavored. Like I have never ate Jolly Ranchers or Suckers and when I was younger I couldn't take medicine like that.. ha So yes, I agree, I don't think it tastes anything like it :-)

I am the exact same way especially about grape flavored things!! However I LOVE grapes and think that grape flavored items do the actual fruit a disservice!

Good morning from Tokyo!

I completely agree with you on the "medicine flavor" debacle. Unfortunately it's because our bodies are adult sized, so the necessary amount of medicine to do a good job can't be disguised by a flavor. Children's medicine, on the other hand, reflect that the size of their little bodies don't need~or tolerate~as much medicine, so the flavors are much more palatable. It's a much higher concentration of flavor than medicine.

Here's hoping one day medicine tastes good!

Warmly,

Elizabeth

very true! I cannot stand cherry-flavored candy or cough syrup, yet I love real cherries!

OMG, I just had this conversation with a friend the other day! Fake grape is awful. It reminds me of having to take the chewable grape Tylenol as a child. I love grapes, but don't bring any fake grape my way. And WTF is blue raspberry?!
