First off, I'd like to thank all of my dear twitter friends who talked me into this. My wedding is very traditional. Traditional gown, tuxes, classic bridesmaid dresses...You get the idea. I made sure not to include anything trendy for fear of hating it years down the road. However, I've fallen in love with the idea of colored shoes. I just wasn't so sure that I'd like it in the years to come. My lovely Twitter friends [yes, i call them friends. what else do you call people you talk to everyday?!!?!? They are wonderful] convinced me to take the splurge. After talking with Mummy, she said to go for it since I found the shoes dirt cheap.
I'd been lusting over these Christian Louboutins:
And in all reality, I could get them, but I don't want to cut from the flowers, put them on credit, or cut from somewhere else on the budget for ivory shoes that I will probably only wear on my wedding day. Instead I start googling trying to find something similar, and I found them. They're pretty close. I decided to get them in both colors. I can wear the ivory with my rehearsal dinner dress possibly, or like some of the girls said I could wear the ivory to the ceremony and the turquoise to the reception.
My dearest Mummy bought them both for me. Now, my something blue is taken care of:) I mean I paid $152 for both pairs on shoes.com which included a 20% off promo code. That's seriously like a 1/4 of what the CLs would have cost. Love them!!!!

Soooo gorgeous! I like the idea of wearing the ivory at the church and blue at the reception. I love the idea of colored shoes, even with keeping everything else super traditional!
So beautiful!
I LOVE the shoes you picked out! I love the turquoise ones. That is a great idea, wearing one for the ceremony and one for the reception.
Those are fabulous! Your Twitter friends were right. I so wish that I had done something fun like that at my wedding.
I love it! Great choice!
No lie, I fell in love with the same pair of Loubies...and talked myself out because, like you said, in all honesty, I would probably only wear them once. I ended up going with a colorful pair as well from Zappos...and never once have I regretted it (True Story: I took the shoes off about 15 minutes into the reception...good thing I didn't get the Loubies:)
Oooh, love the bright turquoise :-) Excellent choices!
So glad you got the blue ones too. I LOVE THEM! And, I bet you can definitely wear them after your wedding!
