I went to Nashville last spring to visit a roommate, it's a great town! We were only there for a day so we didn't really get a chance to fully explore the city but we did go to San Antonio Taco Company http://thesatco.com/
It was the best queso I ever had! Definitely go there!
Nashville also had a surprising number of cute coffee shops with yummy breakfast food. Have a great time, it was a fabulous city!

I used to live right outside of Nashville! If you want to try something completely different foodwise, go to Prince's Hot Chicken Shack. I'll warn you, it's not in a tourist location and it looks a bit dodgy....but it is AMAZING. You have to pay in cash and get there early, there is a line!

As for shopping the Green Hills area is really popular and the city of Franklin is really cute with boutique shopping and quaint restaurants.

Have fun!

Alright, Nashville queen here... Here we go:
Restaurants: rumba, tin angel, Germantown cafe, jacksons, boscos, taco mamacita, and Mafiaozas
Shopping: green hills mall (new Nordstrom just opened), the hill center, blush, and muse
Bars: red door, losers, legends, tootsie's, corner pub, big bang, and Hollywood disco
You girls are going to have a blast!! Let me know if you need help with other recommendations ;)

I've been there. It has been about 5 years. I don't know where you are staying, but near the Gaylord Opryland Hotel is a mall called Opry Mills.

Yay! Happy bachelorette party!!!

Recommendations depend on what you want to do.

Broadway honky tonks for a girly, go-out-in-Nashville kind of thing. Paradise Park, the Stage, Tootsie's, et al.

Past Perfect on 3rd Ave is a local treasure hole-in-the-wall for great food and amazing drinks. It's not fancy though.

For a nice but laid back kind of place, Patterson House for drinks. This would be fun for after dinner if you are doing 2 nights - one on the town and one a little more chill.

For shopping - Green Hills and Hill Center. Nordstrom just opened at Green Hills, so it will be a madhouse, but it's a really nice mall.

Breakfast - Pfunky Griddle is really fun. Make your own pancakes at the table with different "mix-ins." It's in Berry Hill though so not really the most convenient location.

If you have anything else in mind you think you might want to do but need recs, just let me know. I'll be happy to recommend more if I missed something! :)

Oh oh! I go a few times a year. You will love! Yes, go to SATCO for lunch. Also hit up the Green Hills are, off of 440. The mall has a Tiffany's, a Louis (I think) and lots of other nice stores. They just opened up a Nordstroms in the area, and a Tory Burch. Check out downtown Broadway too, for some honky tonk night life! Have fun!

I live in Nashville, so here are my recommendations! You should check out Big Bang on Broadway. It's a dueling piano bar where you tip the pianists to play your song. It's very similar to Silky O'Sullivans in Memphis. We went there for my bachelorette party and had a great time! Wanna Bees on Broadway is also another great venue if you're into karaoke. Also, someone mentioned Opry Mills.....it's actually still closed from the flood last May; it won't completely reopen until next spring. So for your shopping fix, definitely hit up Green Hills. Also, the Gulch has a bunch of good restaurants. Our favorites are Urban Flatts (flatbreads) and Ru San (sushi). We also love Cabana and Bricktops in Midtown. The other recommedations given are amazing as well!
