Growing up Southern is a privilege, really. It's more than where you're born - it's an idea, a state of mind that seems imparted at birth. It's more than loving fried chicken, sweet tea, high school football, beer, country music, and acoustic guitars. It's being hospitable, being devoted to front porches, magnolias, the good Lord, and each other. We don't become Southern - we're born that way.

Helpful New Find!!!

Ok, I don't know about y'all, but I have eyebrows that need to be tamed. In all reality, it's just the one side that needs to be tamed. Do you have the part of your eyebrow that just grows straight up? Well, I do, and if I let them go too long, it's gets very Madonna-esque!

Btw, here's a little pic of Madonna in the 80s with her crazy eyebrows!
You see the straight-up part of the eyebrow?? Yeah, mine aren't thick like hers, but still that part will grow straight on up. I have to trim that part regularly. I found this little gem at Target, and it's seriously awesome!!
 Sally Hansen's The Now Brow

The blades are made at angle so it's perfect when trimming your eyebrow. No more using those small scissors but having to make your fingers be in awkward positions because of the fear of either stabbing your eye out or cutting off half your eyebrow. Ha! They seriously are pretty cool. Just thought I'd pass it along...

I may have to check it out. Of course I am terrified of letting myself anywhere near my face with scissors!
