Day 6: Doctor Update

So, this morning I met with the new obgyn. She was AWESOME. She made me feel totally at ease and was very pleasant. I think I might actually stick with her for my once a year visits too! And, while there, I ran into a friend of mine who is preggo with twins. So excited for her, and I can't wait to start planning her baby shower with our other friend. So fun:)

Basically, something is off-kilter. My cycles aren't on time and have been late. I'm getting them; it's just every month they are a week late. I'll have to get blood work done during my next cycle and a few days after that start an ovulation kit. This way they can kind of try to see what's going on with my body. Unfortunately, infertility issues aren't covered by insurance in my state. But, luckily, right now, she said we can file things under "irregular cycle" which is covered by insurance. Y'all say a little prayer for me if you believe in that kinda stuff. I'd really appreciate it. For now, I'm just not going to think about it, stress over it, or talk about it because I don't want to get all worked up and miss my next cycle. I need to find out what's going on. We really want a baby!

After my doctor visit, I went to DSW. I even had a coupon and didn't buy a thing. Guess that means I really am serious about no shopping. I really have been catching myself picking things up only to put them back. I'm pretty proud even if I do say so myself.

I picked one of these up a couple of weeks ago for me, and then, I picked one up the other day while in Macy's. I always like having a cute, little gift handy in case I need it for a birthday, hostess, thank you-type gift. I thought it was super adorable, and I only paid around 6 bucks with tax for it. It's actually heavier than I thought it would be. Well, my mom liked it so much she took it, so I bought another one today. I can't believe all of them haven't gone yet. Always good to have something handy for those times you  might need it ...just in case.

PS-don't forget! i'm giving away a Thirty-One lunch thermal tote in the pattern of your choice and monogrammed if you want it to be here. not a lot of entries so your luck is good! ---giveaway ends 10/11/12

I feel for you. I am so afraid that we will face issues as well but really there is no need to get worked up just yet! Just keep positive!

And by the way, the cupcakes are a super cute gift to keep on hand! Love it!

It can definitely be stressful and hard, but majorly worth it in the end! We are having infertility issues but I just keep trusting that it will happen when it is supposed to! Good luck and try not to stress!! :)

Good luck with everything - I'm right there with you.

I'm not ovulating at all...and not making any of the hormones that will make me ovulate. Ugh - women's bodies are so fickle.

Hey girl! I will definitely be saying a prayer for you! I know how hard it is going through all of this! I am actually just beginning IVF this week! Excited & Nervous! I hope they can figure out things for you soon! I feel like one of the best things i did as a recommendation from my OBGYN was going to see a Reproductive Endrocronologist they were really good! Just an idea for you :)

Hey! I totally feel everything that you are going through. I have really long cycles (45+ days) and that caused a little problem for us, but my doctor was really helpful and last month we celebrated now Toddler girl's 1st Birthday. If you ever want to talk let me know!
