I decided to get a few new pieces for work...

I have a ton of button downs for work, but they are dry clean only. I'm too lazy to iron them at home. I decided that I needed more separates that way I can wear more things and they don't have to be dry cleaned. I got this great coupon from NY&Co. in my inbox. It was spend 60$ get $25 dollars off. If you weren't issued this coupon, leave me a comment with your email, I'll be happy to send it to you. It's good for a few more days.
I bought this jeweled cardigan in a rich, deep purple. It would be cute paired with a button down underneath. Much cuter than on the model!!!

I, also, bought this animal print one as well. I was skeptical after viewing it online. However, when I tried it on at the store, it is VERY, VERY cute! I thought it would be great with some pearls and black pants. It's one of those pieces that would look great in Spring with some white pants. It is really much cuter when tried on.

I don't know why I liked this sweater, yeah yeah I know, but I just did. I normally wear a lot of black, grey, and brown to work. I'm trying to incorporate some color b/c I am ready for Spring to hurry up and get here!

Also, I got one of those black chunky sweaters with the short sleeves. I can't find it on their website along with a few other things. I was trying to find some cute things I could pair with jackets or button downs. And....I am still annoyed at J.Crew's website. You can be in say for example Sale-Women's Dresses. Once you change the options to add to 90 results, high-low price vice versa, all of the sudden you get all kinds of crap mixed in with dresses. It was too annoying, and I had to leave the website. I'll be glad when they get all their bugs fixed in the site so it's more manageable. LC is leaving after work today to head to a bachelor party. Hmmm, no I'm not worried. They are having it up at Pickwick. 15 boys in a house in freezing weather, yeah, I don't necessarily see them getting out and fishing. Ha! One good thing is without him here to distract me, I can actually get stuff done such as stopping by The Pink Door to check out the Lilly sale plus work on cooking. I have found a recipe in an article out of our local paper. It's for meatloaf, but it sounds yummy. Plus, the recipe is from a former AirForce One chef who served it to Bill Clinton. Now, he is a private chef for a local family. I figure if it's good enough for Bill then it's probably edible. Ha! There are more recipes in the article which include Beef Wellingtons with a Mushroom Sauce, Taco Salad, and one for Cedar Planked Salmon.

Meat Loaf

1/2 cup chopped onions
1/2 cup of chopped bell pepper
2 tbsp. butter
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
2 eggs
2 tbsp. Worchestershire sauce
1 cup bread crumbs
1 1/2 lb. ground chuck
1/2 lb. ground sausage

Glaze:
1/2 cup ketchup
1 tsp. yellow mustard
3 tbsp. brown sugar

Saute onions and bell peppers in butter to soften, and add the salt and pepper; set aside.

In a large mixing bowl, add eggs, Worchestershire sauce, bread crumbs and mix together. Add ground chuck and sausage, combine.

Place meat into a loaf pan, shape the loaf with your hands.

Mix ketchup, mustard and brown sugar together and pour over the meat loaf.

Bake for about 45 min. to an hour at 350 degrees. Serves 4.

SOUNDS DELISH:)

That recipe looks excellent, exactly what we need up here in the Frozen Midwest! But we like the sweaters even more!

Great post!

That actually sounds pretty close to my meatloaf recipe. I don't brown the onions & peppers though. I just mix it all in with the ground beef. I also use a can of Rotel or regular diced tomatoes. It really helps keep the meat moist. And it's so yummy!
By the way, I love NY&Co. Most of my closet is filled with their clothes.
