hmmm, what gives....
So, LC came over last night. I could tell something was bothering him, and I could see the gears grinding in his head. Eventually, it all came out with the question, "Where do you see our future?". Hmmmmm, let's see. I'm head over heels in love with you, and for the first time in my life, I've glanced at wedding websites, dresses, wedding blogs, imagined our future, what our kids will look like, that we'll grow old together, and you are worried about fun and excitement. When I feel like this and these convos happen, I get scared, and it gets in the back of my head. He feels that our relationship isn't as "exciting" or "fun" as it used to be. He said we used to have sooooo much fun. Sure, it was fun getting to know each other. A new relationship is VERY exciting. You're just getting to know one another and each's dislikes and likes. Like a new toy, a new dress, new shoes, the "new" eventually rubs off. Hopefully, after the "new" is over, there is enough not just physically but emotionally as well to stay together. I feel we've accomplished that. He feels I'm not as attracted to him as I was when we first started dating; because, he thinks about me ALL day. Well, you know what I think about him ALL the time as well. What gives? He says I'm the most loving and caring person he's ever known, and he loves me very much. Much more than I'll ever know. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND MEN AT ALL. Then what gives....

Wow, seriously going through some of the same stuff with my boyfriend right now as well. He's never really had a serious gf before me & doesn't understand that after 2/3 years that "honeymoon" period DOES come to an end & things change. They're so difficult, huh?
I wish I have some advice to give you! All I know is that boys are confusing :)
I went through the same thing with my boyfriend-now husband. Reading The 5 Love Languages really helped me understand him more. It's a great book! I hope that things get better for you! This time in a relationship can be so frustrating! E-mail me if you want to talk or vent!
You cracked me up with the Pammy and the lemon bars comment! I loved it.
Just be thankful he talks about his feelings with you. You'll never figure him out.
I've been married for almost 5 years & still don't understand men.
Be glad he does attempt to discuss his feelings with you even if you don't get what he's saying. Just be open & honest. That's really about all you can do.
BTW, I tagged you. Hope you're having a great weekend watching the Tigers win.
Miss Belle, it sounds like he is having PMS...honestly. Everyone who has read that book says it is excellent, they just rave about it.
Hang in there, and know we are thinking about you,
tp
PS: You are tagged in tomorrow's (Sunday's) post... apologies for pre-dating the tag!
