Recovering:(

Yes ladies, that is what I am doing except I'm not recovering in the luxurious black contemporary bed looking at the exquisite black and white pictures of Calla lilies on my wall that I call my own. I am recovering at work at a cherry desk staring at a khaki textured wallpaper you know like the ones in a doctor's office. blah. I behaved like a 21 year old undergrad student this weekend. My friends, LC, and I went to South Main's Hot Wing Fest on Saturday. We had a blast just tooling around, drinking free beer (there was no wine), and of course, I was wearing Lilly, my Gweneth in candy stripe! We ended up running off to eat hot wings somewhere else. Ha! LC and I had parked at my friend's place who lives right off the trolley line. We decided to take the trolley back to the car while the others stayed out. We were riding the trolley, and just my luck, we looked back to the smoke coming out from the floor. The driver stopped the trolley, called the dispatcher, and told them he wasn't moving it because he didn't feel safe driving it! The dispatcher called the Fire Department. So, the trolley would not move until the Fire Dept came out. Great! We waited forever for another trolley. Then, a trolley came up behind the smoking one. We ended up hitching a ride on this one going back to where we came from and had to get a taxi to the car. Ridiculous! Only in Memphis. Yesterday, I went to Rajun Cajun Crawfish Festival downtown with my friends. We had so much fun just drinking, eating, and hanging out. I, of course, was wearing the Gweneth Lilly Pulitzer seersucker dress in polka dot. Okay, yes I know same dress two days in a row, but hey it was completely two different fabrics and two completely different prints! Gimme a break. Aunt Flo's coming soon so I had to go with flowy dresses....
Today, I feel like crap. You know like death when you wake up and no matter what you do food doesn't taste good, you're thirsty, bloated from alcohol, tired, smelling like a bar, etc. I could go on. I'm too old for this ladies. I thought I had learned my lesson from the previous post. You know a late twenty-something year old playing champagne flip cup. But no, I thought I could just get redonkulous drinking cheap God only knows what kind of beer for two days in a row. Now, my body is paying the consequences.

I had no idea Memphis had trolleys! How fun! I have been to Memphis once, but only to go to Graceland on a day trip during a visit to Ole Miss (to visit my husband then boy friend). I must visit again soon and see a little more than Graceland!

I am glad you had a fun weekend! I hope you feel better soon!

I'm with Blondie. I find myself saying that I need to grow up and stop pretending I'm still 21 but it's so much fun and I tell myself I'll miss those days when I've got a few kiddies to run around after.

Thanks for stopping by :) Your blog is too cute! I wanted to go to the crawfish festival, but I couldn't find the motivatino to get off my couch and leave the dogs :) Sad, huh?

Hope you have a great day! I'll be stopping by more often now!

I totally get you. Lately I've been feeling as though the recovery isn't worth it anymore. Sigh, getting older. But, it sounds like lots of fun {chicken wings & beer?! my faves!} and excitement!
