Weekend Recap in 10

(Here's a little sparkle to brighten your day on the first day back to work after a holiday)

1)the parade was alot of fun. it was more of a political thing versus a hometown Fourth parade, but nevertheless fun.

2)i walked two miles in wedges for the parade smiling and waving all the way sans float. TWO miles and I was fine. everyone was freaking out. i don't see the big deal about walking in wedges but whatevs

3)i am now able to take the Sookie Stackhouse series box set off of my nightstand for good. i plowed through all 7 books in the set this past weekend. it reads like a darn soap opera so i just had to keep on reading. did i lose a few brain cells? possibly. but all in all, it was good, light reading:)

4)i wore my little sparkler dress and it was super cute.
**sidenote: i am a little upset that i think i paid close to $40 for that dress last year from lulus. quality not  worth 40 bucks IMO more like worth 20 bucks

5)we did not see any fireworks. boooooooooooo.

6)it was good to have time off because i would have gone postal at work. work has been stressing me out and now i am recharged and have regrouped. i am less "disgruntled". tehe.

7)was mulling over some exciting, scary news that i cannot share just yet. it is sort of bittersweet all at the same time....you all will know very soon. like next week soon. i might, no, i'll DEFINITELY need advice from some of you. and go ahead and put those preggo thoughts to rest. nope, not it.

8)i am now reading Interview With a Vampire i'm thinking i like the supernatural...ya think?!?!?!

9)i ate terribly over the weekend. i'm talking biscuits with butter and jelly every morning, KFC including mashed potatoes with gravy, biscuits, and mac n chz, oh and our friends parents own a restaurant. southern food of course. I had a BLT with a side of cheese balls. GOOD LAWD!!! now, gotta get back on track.

10)i am making lots of headway in the wedding process. i figure i'll start wedding wednesdays when we hit the year mark which will be in just a few months!

What did you all do over the holiday weekend????

Your weekend sounds great - although I would have been sad about missing firecrackers! I also ate like a mini hog this weekend - going to have to majorly cut back this week! It's just so fun to eat great food!

Sounds like fun! I love how you walked 2 miles in wedges and are like "Pssh! Whatever! I've got this DOWN!" Haha :-)

Our July 4th was not too exciting - very laid back and no fireworks, either! It made me a little homesick, but overall it's not too bad!

This will make you feel better. That same dress was at Anthropologie for around $100 last year. Quite the mark up.... I bought the green and blue one from Lulus last year.

Sounds like a great weekend. And going off the diet for the weekend will not be the end of the world.
I love the shoes. I think they would be fun to wear to a wedding
