DESPERATE for advice!

Ok, I'm desperate. I'm down to the wire on ordering the cake topper I want. Here's my dilemma...you tell me what you like. I'm so unsure at this point!

This is the pic of my cake. I told the caterer to make it as close as possible to this less the big rose on top and in ivory not white.

This is how I'm thinking I want the cake above decorated. Flowers arranged liked this along with the way the top of the cake looks.
Please be honest. I swear you won't hurt my feelings. Do you like the flowers and cake topper together? Do you just like one or the other? Do you like neither? PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!

XOXO,
Belle:)

I'm sure you can't go wrong, but I would pick one or the other (letting either the flowers or the topper shine). The lace look is so intricate I think it should stand out too rather than compete for 3rd. Again, I'm sure whatever you come up with will be gorgeous and more importantly, delicious!!

I like the cake topper. I think the flowers take away from the delicate lace detail that you are looking for on the cake itself. I think the topper adds a little something extra without taking away from the cake itself.

I would go with the initial only. I think like the other comments with how detailed your cake looks having the flowers in addition might make it look a bit junkie.

What a gorgeous cake! I adore the lace in every way--what a classic look that has so much charm. I do agree with everyone else that doing both may take away from the special-ness of all of the lace detailing, but am sure whatever you think will be gorgeous. What about asking your cake person for their opinion?

i would do maybe one bunch of flowers on side of the cake...not all over. that, with the lace and the initial topper will be gorgeous!

I prefer just the letter, or your married monogram on the top. the cake decor is so beautiful with all the details the flowers will just cover them up.

I LOVE your cake design!!! And I am leaning towards only the cake topper but I also think a few flowers would look gorgeous! Maybe not as many as in the picture, but a few would look lovely! Good luck! Love your blog! :)

I like either the topper or the flowers. Or another color topper if your going to do ivory I wouldn't do silver. I'm not sure why but those colors seem to clash a bit too me. And I love the lace detail and I think it should be featured more instead of being taken away from by all the flowers. Maybe flowers around the table would still give you the look you want? Or I've seen the cake on a raised cake stand with flowers peeking out. Hope this helps!!

xoxo.

Personally, I have a strong aversion to cake toppers. With that said, I think it looks better with just the flowers. The flowers and topper together are a bit too much flair for me.

Beautiful cake! I think I just like the flowers. More of a classical look, and I think the letter may be too overpowering for the size of the cake. However, either one I know will be gorgeous. The lace is just amazing.

I didn't have a cake topper at my wedding. I really like the flowers. Like other commentors said, a few flowers down the side would look beautiful.

I would go with the Initial only. That way the lace on the cake will be able to stand out along with the Initial cake topper. Simple and Elegant :)

I would do just the flowers... with the topper it is a little much..

I think initial only, no flowers! I think the flowers take away from the lace patters on the cake. Love your cake choice!

I love the flowers but I think the topper is SO much better! On the other hand, if you really love the flowers maybe you could scatter them on the table around the cake? But you know what? I think it would take away from the gorgeousness of the cake itself.

I agree with what the first Kristin said lol. Both cakes are beautiful though.

Both are beautiful, and either way you go will be lovely. Personally, though, I prefer just the topper. The details on the cake is so pretty, you don't want to take away the focus from that!
