LC just planted the hydrangeas on the side this year. They seem to be doing well, and I hope they will come back even fuller next year:)
Here are our other hostas doing great! The other hydrangea bush LC planted is doing well over here too! On each side of the hostas is a gardenia tree. We got these and the hydrangeas at Costco this year. The tree on the right is adapting. If you look on the top left of the tree, you can see a tiny white gardenia coming into bloom. However, the gardenia tree on the right is sicky-poo. [insert sad face here] I hope it doesn't die. I looked tonight, and it has some new buds forming. Keeping fingers crossed!
This year we won't get to plant our famous zinnias. For the past two years, we've put them in the corner of the flowerbed in the front of the house. LC grows them from seeds, and they do fine. This year, I don't know if it was the heat or what, no zinnias:(((((( People would stop us in their cars or on the street and ask about them. They would grow so tall and have such vibrant, pretty colors. Oh well, you can't have it all I guess...
What do you plant?

Great job!
It looks great to me. :)
We have some HUGE hostas at our house too. Apparently the people that lived here before us sold them to greenhouses. They are everywhere!
