On Saturday, I met my two of my friends for lunch. The three of us have been friends for over ten years. One lives here, and the other was in town for a wedding, and I am SO glad she messaged me if only for lunch. I miss her so much. She's the friend who is ALWAYS hilarious, can tell a story like no other, likes to have a good time, always makes you happy when you're sad, and one of the nicest people I know. We were all talking about wouldn't it be awesome if we could just go back to our college days where you didn't have to worry about anything except having a good time and hangover. And, we talked about the many shifts we worked together at the restaurant where we met and became friends. Wishing we could go back to a life where there were not pressures of performance, possible promotion stress, teaching kids to a test, and all the responsibilities that come with being a grown up. Times were much simpler when all you had to do was make enough $$ on your shift to be able to go out that night, make a game time decision at 3am deciding that if you continue to party that you will not be making it to American History in the morning, or stare at your closet debating on what gazillion outfits you're going to try on which most likely resulted in the choice of the first outfit. That my friends was the EASY life. Being an adult isn't
so bad. You can afford nicer things, your income is more stable, and you realize that waking up feeling awesome beats a hangover any day.
But some days...
I wanna go back
And do it all over again
But I can't go back I know
I wanna go back
Cause I'm feeling so much older
But I can't go back I know;)
This is what I wore. I just LOVE this tee from Lilly Pulitzer. If you look closely enough, the pink makes a high heel hence the pattern name Heel Yeah.

Such a cute top. Sometimes I want to go back too, but there are lots of good things about being an adult too!
